My Christmas Wish List

Not that I expect my husband to even glance at my blog to see what I want for Christmas….in fact I know he won’t. He hasn’t even started shopping for me yet..hello it is Dec. 21st honey. He asked the other day what I wanted, which my usual answer is a romantic date with him, something we never get to do with 3 little kids, but he always laughs at me and says, “No, really, what do you want?”

So here is a list of things I would like, maybe you’ll see something you like too:

For Cd’s we’ll start off with Jeremy Camp I would really like his Restored CD. There are so many songs that I really love on this CD… “Lay down my Pride,” “Restored,” and “Take you back,” to name a few. Jeremy has a really rugged rocker type voice and I don’t mind hearing his songs over and over again.

Nichole Nordeman’s “Brave” CD. I remember when I first heard “Brave,” I thought the name of the song was Status Quo, but no matter, I LOVED the song and kind of made it my personal theme song. LOL. Then while camping with my mom and sister, my little sis puts in a CD and I quickly say, “Turn that up! I’ve been searching for that song!” She told me that Nichole’s CD was really great and so this is something I really want.

Switchfoot “Nothing is Sound.” I have switchfoot’s previous album, so I know without a doubt that this one is going to be awesome too. “Stars” has made the crossover to regular radio stations and most teens I know have no clue that this is a Christian rock band. C’mon kids, Christian music does not have to be all boring and church-like. Just turn on a little Tobymac and Relient K and you will see what I mean. Anyway, what I found interesting on Barnes and Noble’s website, is the list of “People who bought this album also bought…” Um, just check out one of those bands….it is obvious that the purchaser also had no idea that Switchfoot is a Christian rock band. You’ll see what I mean.

OK, enough Cd’s let’s move onto piggies. No not oink oink piggies, but Pigments from Mantra Cosmetics. I would really love some Lip Lights and a few new pigments to add to my collection. Oh, and a piggie saver.

Other than some high stylin maternity clothes, there really isn’t much more I want. Besides, Christmas is not about being a gift hog after all. Its about the gift of Jesus Christ you silly grinches. And well, that gift is priceless…

I think your husband and I should start a support group. I don’t understand the art of shopping either. Last year my wife told me that she wanted nothing for Christmas. Well…After a week of being ignored and not spoken too, it started to set in that “I don’t want anything” REALLY means, “I sure would appreciate a heart felt gift”

This year she said “Just get me a pair of pants for Christmas” Luckily I work with some women who were able to decode this message. Apparently “Just get me a pair of pants” REALLY means “Get me a single pair of pants and I’ll kick your ass”

    I’m learning

I’m glad you are learning the art of “reading between the lines.” Its basically our secret language. I’m glad you know some women to help you decode the language for you. ;) Thanks for the laugh!

I love giving music to friends for Christmas. One of my new favorite free gifts is to create a radio station for them on Pandora.com! It’s so fun!

The Sandisk slotradio makes a good gift. It has a tiny card with over 1000 songs on it! I got one as a gift and I love it! I wear it to workout!
