Mia Bella Candles

Part of the way I like to destress is to burn candles. I’ve used many different candles, but I have to say that Mia Bella Candles are by far the best candles I have ever burned.

I’m sure you are saying, “A candle is a candle,” right?

My gosh no. Mia Bella Candles are different, in that they are made ofa blend of vegetable and soy. These ingredients help the candle burn better, cleaner and retain more of their scent. Mia Bella Candles definitely have a strong scent and it doesn’t just go away after burning for an hour. I’ve even found that if I have an unlit candle in a room with a closed door, when I open the door the room is just filled with its wonderful scent. They are that strong. Since one of the main reasons I burn candles, is for it’s scent, I think that is a great property to have. Mia Bella’s wicks are also 100% cotton. They are not lead or are zinc inside, therefore you won’t find black soot.

Also most candles are made of paraffin wax, which is not healthy to inhale, burns unevenly, and when have you found it easy to clean up the wax that leaked onto your carpet? Mia Bella Candles unique ingredients help it to burn evenly and wax spillage is an easy clean up. Once I burned a votive and didn’t have a votive holder to put it in, so I placed it on a saucer. As the candles burned, the wax melted down onto the plate. I thought I was going to have a heck of a time scrapping it off the plate. Not so. All I had to do was let it harden, and it slid off the plate. I’m not kidding. I simply turned the plate upside down over the garbage bin, and the wax just slid off leaving no mess behind and basically no evidence that I even burned a candle on that saucer in the first place!

Mia Bella Candles are made right here in Pennsylvania. I am pretty lucky to live only 45 minutes from their coporate office. But in true WAHM fashion, I don’t go to the store to buy them. I go to another mom who is a representative for the company.

Let me introduce you to Tracy. Tracy is about to be 29 years old and is a mom to two beautiful children, Skylar and Daniel. Tracy sells Mia Bella Candles to help her with medical costs for her children. Tracy is a brave and courageous mother. Let me tell you why…

Her daughter Skylar was born with Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 1 when she was born. At 4 months old, Skylar was only given 8 months to live. When I first learned this, I was so sad and my heart broke for Tracy, but as I began to read further into the journal Tracy has written about her daughter, I could see how much Tracy loved and adored her daughter and how her daughter had given her strength. Skylar is going to be 6 years old this June, far exceeding her dr.’s expectations! You can read more about Skylar here and here.

Tracy’s son Daniel was born just this past July, 4 weeks early. Daniel has pulmonary stenosis and Long Q-T, these are both conditions that affect his heart. He just recently had surgery for hypospadia. You can read about Daniel here.

Recently Tracy’s mother had a lumpectomy to remove a lump in her breast, they are anxiously awaiting the results to find out if it was cancer or not. Ironically, I will get to finally meet Tracy in person on April 29th when she is a vendor at Shop for a Cure, an Expo to benefit The American Cancer Society for breast and ovarian cancer. Although I do not yet know her in person, I have to say that she is one of the bravest and strongest people I know. I stand in awe of you Tracy.

If you love candles and would like to buy from a Mia Bella rep., please consider Tracy.

I have never tried soy candles. Is it that great. I have always used the wax or just the candle warmers.
