Spring is finally here! Time to change your mood from dull and dreary to light and fun. I absolutely love the new Sugarsweet collection from MAC Cosmetics because it is just that–fun colors set out to make you sugar and spice and everything nice. I have a few products from this collection, specifically the Mineralize Skinfinish in Perfect Topping, TriColour Lipglass in Tasty and the Glaze Lipstick in Bubbles. Sweet femininity has met its match!
Perfect Topping is a mix of peach, pink and lavender. It has a sweet shimmer, that when hit in the perfect light, gives you the innocent and sweet vibe.
Sort of like a cupcake you wish was calorie-free. The Glaze Lipstick in Bubbles appears to be light beige in color in the tube (and by definition it is beige), but when applied is an iridescent frost-like color. It actually reminds me of a less intense version of Lancome’s
L.U.C.I. Color Fever Shine lipstick in Luminous. The TriColour Lipglass is by far my favorite just by looks alone. Reminds me of a trifle, multi-layered confection perfection. Amazingly Tasty has versions of red, a color I typically don’t like to wear simply because red brings out the ruddiness in my skintone, but the red is played down by the sheer blue pink on the top. I tried it alone, but also paired it with Bubbles for a sugary sweet look.
While the eyshadows are not necessarily my cup of tea (brings back far too many memories of some 80s makeup mishaps), they are right in line with the color trends of the spring-summer season. Overall, I heart this collection. It became available on March 19th, but only for a limited time! Check it out at www.maccosmetics.com. Will you be picking up anything from this makeup line?

The tricolor lipglosses look pretty but I don’t like anything that sheer.
