Review: Solavie Face Wash and Face Nourish

solavie_mountains_skin_careMy friend Renee Rouleau taught me that there are 9 different skin types. And now Solavie has shown me that the key to good skin care is also about taking your environment into consideration. I live high up in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania where the weather can do a number on your skin. So much different than when I lived near the city of Philadelphia or near the ocean waters of Rhode Island. Solvaie has 6 different skin care systems: Mountains, Urban, Tropics, Shore, Plains and Desert. All different enviro-types that we can identify with based on location.

I have been using the Mountains Face Wash & Face Nourish which smells of lavender and clean air. The products are 100% natural and are rich in phyto-nutrients. The Face Wash’s texture is thin when you put some into your palm, but as you cleanse your face with it, it feels more like a gentle lotion covering your face. The scent is light and won’t overwhelm you. The Face Nourish also goes on light and has no oily residue so it applies almost like an oil-free moisturizer. I really like both products and like the idea of targeting skin care based on ingredients that can work effectively based on your environment.

Solavie can be found at www.Solavie.com. If you’d had the chance to try their line, I’d love you to share your experience in the comments.

That’s weird, I’m using firefox too and went into the store and everything was fine. Hmm. I have no idea what’s happening. :/

I live in the foothills. I guess the mountains would work for me.

unfortunately, i know quite a few people that are allergic to lavender, so adding it to a skincare product may limit the number of people who may want to use it
