Step-by-Step Facial by Weleda

step_by_step_facialPamper yourself after the cold winter season with a nourishing Weleda facial treatment that will leave you feeling like you just stepped out of the spa. Weleda Facial Care is based on a holistic skincare approach of giving, receiving and healing. With these easy-to-follow steps from Weleda’s European holistic esthetician, Lilith Schwertle, you’ll be able to relax and rejuvenate with a facial in the comfort of your own home.

Step-by-step Facial:

•Step One: CLEANSE
*Apply a small amount of Almond Facial Oil onto two dampened cotton pads, and gently place over your eyes. After several seconds, rub softly to remove eye makeup.
*Then, dispense the Weleda Cleansing Lotion that’s right for you onto two fresh cotton pads. Start from the center of your face and gently move the cotton pads outwards, over your skin. Finally, wipe the cotton pads over your neck.

• Step Two: SOOTHE
*Fill a bowl with warm to hot water and add a few drops of Lavender Relaxing Bath Milk to help sooth the senses.
*Next, soak a hand towel in the bowl of water. Wring out and place the towel over your face. Close your eyes and relax for several seconds as the warm towel opens up your pores.  Release all tensions and focus on your breathing.

• Step Three: TONE
*Apply Wild Rose or Iris Facial Toner onto clean cotton pads (note: the Almond line does not include a toner, however, the Wild Rose Facial Toner is often suitable and beneficial for sensitive skin). Starting from the center of your face, gently massage the cotton pads over the skin, working outward to the sides of your face. The toner will help tighten your skin.

*Softy apply Wild Rose Intensive Eye Cream with your ring fingers—gently patting the cream around each eye to rejuvenate and firm the delicate skin.
*Massage one of the Weleda Facial Care Moisturizers into your skin by gently pressing the cream onto your face or softly massaging in small circles—working from the center of your face to the outside. Day Creams are perfect under make-up; Moisture Creams can be applied under makeup, but are also beautiful when used alone, and Night Creams are ideal every evening before bed to support your skin’s night time regeneration.
*Lastly, complete your facial and natural care with Weleda Everon Lip Balm to keep lips supple and smooth.

I am going to Walgreens sometime soon to check out Weleda products. Never paid any attention to this line before. Iris toner sounds so special- i love the scent of irises (my parents used to grow them in a garden). And Almond oil too- i thought it was just for hair, but i guess it has many uses!

I never knew there was such a thing as Almond Facial Oil. I must check this out!
