Call me crazy, but when I am in the shower using Herbal Essences newest hydralicious shampoo and conditioner I have to fight the urge to start singing Fergie’s “Fergalicious.” Which, if you have been around the block long enough, you know that beat is inspired by J.J. Fad’s Supersonic. (Just throwing out my musical knowledge at you.) But I digress… This new line of swirled shampoos, specifically the Self-targeting line, are a ribbon of red vanilla and whipped aloe to hydrate my hair where it needs it yet not over hydrating the sections that are healthy.
The Self-targeting shampoo and conditioner smell absolutely delicious like a sugary sweet berry. The shampoo is actually thicker than most shampoos I have used on my hair and I found that I don’t need a lot of it to work my hair into a good lather. The formula has a new polymer called “Liquid Crystal” which targets different surface charges, which in plain English means that if you have chemically treated hair like mine (because I have not yet come to terms with having gray hair at 34, denial is not pretty) you lose the negative charge which results in those common dry ends that are the bain of your existence (or at least mine.)
My hair smelled fantastic and looked great, better even with a price tag of only $8. You can find them at your local supermarket, drugstore or online at drugstore.com Have you had the chance to try them out yet?
