Review: Philosophy Cinnamon Hot Dots Shampoo, Shower Gel and Bubble Bath

Guest review by Morgan Siler.

What I love most about Philosophy’s Cinnamon Hot Dot’s Shampoo/Shower Gel/Bubble Bath is that is smells like Red Hots Candy. Exactly.

And Red Hots bring back great memories…

It was the summer before 9th grade. I lived in a bathing suit, hung out at the swim park, and ate hard candy everyday. It was an absolutely delicious summer. Candy, sunshine and innocent first kisses. My friends and I played shuffle-board and sucked on lemon drops, while the older boys played ping-pong and ate Red Hots. We explored what it meant to flirt as middle schoolers, but discovered it quite awkward, and so instead we spent the majority of our time psycho-analyzing the opposite sex.

In between rounds of sunbathing, splashing in the lake, and pretending to play shuffle board, we stared at the tanned testosterone gathered behind the ping pong tables and came up with a theory: If a boy offered us a Red Hot, it meant they thought we were hot. Maybe they hadn’t admitted to their friends yet, or maybe they didn’t even know it themselves yet, but subconsciously it had to be true. It was a promising sign, at least.

Bathing in a bubble bath of Philosophy’s Cinnamon Hot Dots tonight I reminisced on those summers at the swim park. Smells are so powerful. A flood of tingling exhilaration comes rushing back and the sizzling red-hot scent makes me giggle like I am 14 years old again. I also give a chuckle because I realize how much my girlfriends and I still love to psycho-analyze the opposite sex.

If a Man gives us a gift of Philosophy’s Cinnamon Hot Dots Shampoo/Shower Gel/Bubble Bath it means he not only thinks we are hot, be he knows we are a smart multi-tasker and love things that do double (or triple!)-duty.

It also may me he wants us to stay over and spend a quarter of the night in his gorgeous claw-foot tub lathering ourselves (and/or each other?) in cinnamon suds. Not quite as innocent as candy Red Hots at the swim park…but then again, we are not 14 anymore, I think we can handle it.

So if you love cinnamon hot dots, you’ll love this product.

I am really interested in the Spa industry and love this blog. I think the UK needs some really good spa and beauty sites. I cover hair on my website, but have a small beauty area which i am looking to expand. I love your site – keep up the great work!
