Travel Beauty: Las Vegas

20090723-lasvegassignIt was my first trip to sin city where the temperature is hot and sometimes (Ok most times) the guys are even hotter.  I was in the city to speak at Cosmoprof North America on social media for Private Label, staying at the very luxurious Mandalay Bay. It quite honestly was the best time I have had in a very, very long time (and was much needed!) But this post isn’t about my time there, but instead to focus on my Travel Beauty series I like to do when I travel.

As always, I like to pack the necessities I can’t leave home without. This time it was a mix of some new products I am trying, as well as products I adore. Starting from left to right…

Back row: Sonia Kashuk Blusher Brush

Middle row 1: MAC Cosmetics Mineralize Skin Finish in Blonde, L’Oreal Extra Volume Collagen Mascara, MAC Cosmetics Eyeshadow in Natural Flare from the Colour Craft collection, Lavera eyeliner #2 (brown), Purely Cosmetics Pure Silk Mineral Foundation in Calif Blonde, CoverGirl Exact Eyelights in Majestic Jade, CoverGirl Exact Eyelights eyeshadow #715 (Majestic hazels), Spa Ritual Instinctual Organic Moisturizing Lotion in Ginger Essential Oil, Relastin Skin Revitalizer

Middle row 2
: ARROJO round brush, Purely Cosmetics Diamond Perfect Finish, Three Custom Color Cosmetics Bronzer in Cool

Front row
: Garnier Nutrioniste Skin Renew, Physicians Formula Mineral Talc Concealer in yellow, ZannClip

Something to note: My good friend Lianne from TheMakeupGirl remarked to me, “Your lashes look really long!” So I suspect the L’Oreal mascara is doing its job. The new MAC eyeshadow that is out this month from Colour Craft is what you’ll see on my eyes on my about page. Or for a closer look, check out Christopher “Kit” Rogers photo page where he has the photo blown up bigger. The Diamond Perfect Finish from Purely Cosmetics really does work. It helped minimize the look of my fine lines. If you want some great before/after pics of someone using Purely Cosmetics products check out my Mom: Get Glamorous winner, Trina’s, blog post on it. That cute spiral binder-like clip from ZannClip is a favorite of mine. I love love love it and it is so overdue for a beauty review!

Have you used any of the products mentioned? I’d love to hear your experiences with them if you have!

Does Garnier really work on dark circles? I have them really bad, and nothing helps.

Anna, unfortunately not. I didn’t notice a difference using the roll on product at all.

I would really love to try the blusher brush! Blush is one of my favorite items to apply! I would also love to try the bronzer.

Use L’Oreal Extra Volume Collagen Mascara?
I’ve only seen it in an ad.
But, if it’d make my lashes long like yours?
you can BET I wish I had!

    (used it, that is…)
