VS Beauty Soft Focus Liquid Foundation SPF 20

Recently I attended a media preview for Victoria’s Secret beauty and had the chance to try some products from the VS Makeup collection. The collection is inspired by backstage beauty products used by experts and supermodels both off and on the runway. The collection was created by a former makeup pro for M.A.C. cosmetics. I was impressed with the sleek packaging and high performance formulas. I decided to give the VS Soft Focus Liquid Foundation SPF 20 ($16 for .8oz at Victoria’s Secret) a try.

This formula includes light impairing pearls and has an SPF of 20. It is a lightweight foundation that is supposed to create a dewy finish. It comes in 14 shades. I can say after wearing the VS Beauty Soft Focus Liquid Foundation I was impressed. The finish was dewy and I could hardly feel it on my skin. I did wash my face with a creamy cleanser and applied moisturize before applying the foundation. The foundation is very sheer, so I would suggest applying a concealer or color corrector before hand. But I did try the VS Beauty Soft Focus Liquid Foundation without a concealer or a primer and it did have nice coverage. Compared to my current favorite, Giorgio Armani Luminious Silk foundation ($59 at Saks.com), the VS Beauty foundation gave slightly less coverage and does not feel as heavy. But for the price of $16 this product is a tremendous value.

The VS primer is very good as well. I’m curious, based on your review, to know how they would work together. (My guess: fantastique for the price.)

I loved this foundation, not only was it dewy but lightweight and barely there. It looks natural and evens out your skin tone. I have tried tons and didn’t like any of them accept this one. I am a medium 50 and yellow undertone but I think this has a more pinkish undertone… but that didn’t matter because it blended well. It also has a light to medium coverage and gives a perfect dewy look. I defiantly recommend
