Suave Keratin Infusion Dry Shampoo

I don’t know about you, but I learned a few years ago that the best thing you can do to create healthy hair and a healthy scalp is to NOT shampoo your hair everyday. But if you are like me, a person who constantly runs her fingers through her hair…you know that this makes your locks greasy – quick, fast and in a hurry. I rely on dry shampoo to revive my hair for 2 days of no washing. Everyone’s been talking about the Keratin craze, but I really don’t feel like wearing a gas mask to achieve that desired look. Then I was sent Suave’s new Keratin Infusion Dry Shampoo and thought this would be my shot at something amazing.

I do love that this is an aerosol spray dry shampoo (vs. just powder) and that there is no white residue using it. The scent is great and it lives up to all things a dry shampoo should be.  It absorbs oil, creates volume and gives my hair the appearance that I washed it that day.

But there’s a but in there somewhere, right?

Well, I’m not one to ever fall into marketing hype…but I did in regards to the promoted “Keratin” that is supposed to make this product stellar. I read the label. And as you know, ingredients are listed from active ingredients first, then ingredients that there are the most of in the product, all the way down to the least. Is Keratin listed first? Nope. Second? Nope. Keratin was the very last ingredient on the label…which means the amount is miniscule.

While hyping up the Keratin in the product didn’t necessarily add to an increase in the price tag, it is misleading. This is a great dry shampoo, no doubt, but don’t expect Keratin results.

Have you used it?
