School is back in session and the leaves are beginning to change here in the Poconos. That only means one thing: Summer is drawing to an end. But, while the temperatures may be beginning to dip, it doesn’t mean the scents of summer have to end. Inspired by the unforgettable scents of a Summer stroll on the boardwalk, the Slatkin & Co. Boardwalk Collection of candles is a trip down memory lane. From the scent of the sea mingled with sunscreen to boardwalk treats like root beer floats and ice cream sundaes, the new collection captures the nostalgia of beloved trips to the beach. Ahh how I miss the Jersey Shore. (The actual Jersey Shore, not Snooki and The Situation thankyouverymuch.)
I was sent Slatkin & Co.’s Summer Boardwalk Candle which smells like caramel glazed popcorn, warm taffy apples and salted sweet cream. Considering that I’ve been on Stefan Pinto’s C Diet for 2 months now, this candle is a great non-calorie alternative to indulging in such delicious…delicious…delicious…treats. Sorry, my mind wandered off into the old fat consuming part of my brain! Other scents include White Sand, which is grapefruit, sandalwood, coconut milk and jasmine; Oceanside, watery greens, cucumber, juicy melon and peony petals…and so many more.
While Bath & Body Works no longer has this collection in store, I found some still available on Amazon.com. If you want this scent, definitely don’t wait to grab it before it’s gone and then you have to sing the tune of Cruel, Cruel Summer because you missed out. You’re welcome for that ear worm.
