Review: Awapuhi Wild Ginger Keratin Intensive Treatment

I was insanely excited about trying Paul Mitchell’s Awapuhi Keratin Intensive Treatment.  I’ve read a ton of blog posts about how great it works, plus ads for the Awapuhi line seemed to be in just about every beauty magazine and I was unable to resist the temptation of words like intensive conditioning, repair  damage in minutes and intense hydration.  So finally bombarded by everyone’s praise of this line, I finally located a salon that carried the Awapuhi Wild Ginger Keratin Intensive Treatment and danced home eager to saturate my hair in what I expected to be an intensely hydrating, damage repairing hair treatment.

After the first use I didn’t visibly notice nor feel any improvement in my hair.  I am not one who likes to write off something as not working only after one use so I decided I would continue to use it until the tube was empty, which I did and never got the results that so many others have had.  If anything my hair seemed more dry.  Perhaps I needed to use a shampoo from the same line to get the results but I have used different brands of shampoo with a different brand of conditioner before and have seen and felt improvements immediately.  Unfortunately this just did not work for me.

Have you tried it? Did this product work for you?
