Violet Eyeshadow Trend with AVON: Femme Fatale and Purple Haze

I am all over the violet eye shadow trend this Fall. Varying purple hues have been a preference since I began wearing makeup at age 13. (If you’re keeping track, that was a LONG time ago.)

I didn’t really know how to wear makeup back then (and often looked like I got punched in the eye.) Thankfully, brands like AVON are still putting the “eyeshadow by numbers” directions on the back of their quads.  Do I still have to use it? You betcha!

On the left is Femme Fatale, AVON’s newest seasonal eyeshadow quad, and on the right is Purple Haze. Each eyeshadow has a bit of a shimmer while in the quad itself, however, I found that once applied to your eyes, it is more of a matte look (which I totally prefer.)

I love the colors of both quads, but Purple Haze is my hands down favorite! I have hazel eyes, and differing violet, lavender and purple hues, makes my eye color pop. I did love Femme Fatale, but found that the colors would be ones that I would wear when going out for the evening. Midnight Green in the Femme Fatale quad is a metallic forest green and against my very pale skin, it gives my eyes a dark smokey eye look. Definitely chic and sexy for a date with my man, but not so much for picking the kids up from the bus stop. Purple Haze has been a great everyday eyeshadow quad for me. Either way, both eyeshadow quads are totally on trend.

Oh, and the best part? There is minimal to almost non-existent creasing! When I wore these eyeshadows, it was for 12+ hours each time, and the creasing was extremely minimal, almost unnoticeable.

If you love these quads, find your local AVON rep. to order! Have you tried them?
