COVERGIRL Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Gloss Review

Most nail polishes, if left to their own devices without a base or top coat, will basically chip in under 24 hours. So when COVERGIRL sent me a challenge to try their Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Gloss ($5.49), claiming that without a top coat, this polish wouldn’t chip for up to 7 days, I was skeptical.

I chose to try out 255 (Coy Coral) and 230 (Golden Opportunity). I used Coy Coral on the bottom (2 coats) and Golden Opportunity as an overlay (1 coat.) The two colors together looked stunning!

I loved how fast the polish dried and didn’t go easy while wearing it. I did my typical typing away on the computer, scrubbing dishes, cleaning and so on. It was only on day 5 that my index finger had a slight scratch in the color, however it didn’t scratch all the way down to the nail, so it wasn’t that noticeable. Day 6 and 7 saw more deterioration in color, but it honestly wasn’t that bad. My middle finger had some fade of color at the very edge of the tip of my nail by day 7.  Otherwise, my entire manicure remained intact for all 7 days!

About 15 of the shades are in stores now with the full line coming out on January 1st. Check out www.covergirl.com to stay in the loop!
