They say a picture speaks a thousand words and with this particular picture I believe “they” are correct. This photograph evokes an chic stylish grace which could describe the scent of Thymes Filigree scent very well.
Nearly 30 years ago, Thymes was founded by two childhood friends with a mutual curiosity and a common desire to make something meaningful and beautiful. Since then, the company has flourished with a creative staff of 60 dedicated to deepening our connection with one another through our love of fragrance—and, most of all, to composing fragrances that enrich the quality of your daily experience.
The Filigree fragrance has a loyal following and Thymes has it brought it back for a limited time to satisfy those enthusiasts. I can see why this scent has such a following; it’s light, clean and oh so elegant.
The fragrance has an intricate blend of rich amber, juniper berry and warm cedarwood, layered with neroli and white willow. At the heart of the scent are spices ginger and clove while the cool aromas of lavender and spearmint lend a cool note for balance. Evening primrose oil and shea butter moisturize, while white willow bark and sweet almond extracts enrich.
The body lotion ($25) is rich and thick to pamper delicate skin. The lotion absorbs extremely well and is not the least bit greasy–a pet peeve of mine. The lovely scent lingers for hours but does not overpower. Skin feels smooth, hydrated and supple all day.
I am absolutely smitten with the Filigree scent, it’s romantic and feminine without being cloying or overly sweet. Maybe I’ve been watching too much Downton Abby, but I feel like an elegant lady from another time when wearing it–almost decadent.
Thymes Filigree is available in Body Lotion, Body Wash, Eau de Parfum, Hand Cream and Home Fragrance Mist. The Thymes brand has 18 bath and body scents available as well as 25 selections of home fragrance. I’m very fond of Bitter Orange and Cedar.
