LaLicious Sugar Reef Body Butter and Scrub Review

LaLicious is a delectable line of body products that includes all-natural body soufflé scrubs, body butters, oils, soaps and lip butters. All of the products are paraben free and come in nine scrumptious scents including: Vanilla, Coconut Cream, Lily Mango, Passionfruit Lime, Island Guava, Tahitian Flower, Peppermint, Sugar Reed and Sugar Kiss.

The story of entrepreneur Jessica Kernochan gives us all hope of achieving our dreams! What began as a fun idea for Christmas gifts has evolved into a thriving business! In the winter of 2002, Jessica began mixing up one-of-a-kind body scrubs and soft skin lotions for her friends and family. It turned out to be destiny as the last she worked for folded, leaving her jobless. “It forced me to commit to my dream of creating a beauty line,” says Jessica. And so production began. After the process of finding the perfect concoction for her trademark sugar soufflé body scrubs, Jessica began going to beauty stores to sell her goods. The products sold themselves with their unique formulation and tantalizing scents. Soon, Jessica had to leave her kitchen behind and find a warehouse big enough to whip up her products and ship out orders. After just four short years, LaLicious built a bigger facility in order to meet the needs of a successful growing business. Now her line is sold at select retailers and spas across the country!

I received a deluxe sample of LaLicious Sugar Reef body butter as a gift with purchase with my last order at and was instantly smitten! This rich, thick butter has a fresh, clean and slightly beachy scent. Exotic casaba melon, ginger and white tea permeate the scent rather than synthetic coconut plastic suntan lotion scents. It reminds me of going to the beach in Southern California as a kid. Key ingredients include a Shea Butter base, Vitamin E  to help minimize the signs of aging and Aloe Vera to help further repair dry, damaged skin.  I said this body butter was rich and thick, however it has a whipped consistency that feels light on the skin but still allows for intense hydration.
The Sugar Reef Soufflé Scrub is made with coconut and almond oil allowing the oils to absorb quickly into the skin without leaving it feeling greasy. Almond oil also relieves itching, dryness, inflammation, burns and thread veins, while Vitamin E oil soothes and conditions the skin. The Pure Cane Sugar is a less abrasive exfoliant than salt so it won’t sting cuts on the skin. All in all a very pleasant experience!

Bottom Line: I became a quick fan of LaLicious products and I adore the Sugar Reef scent. If you’re looking for quality bath and body products made with love, check out or select retailers and spas across the country.
