Must Have Hand Creams for Winter

Hands have it bad in the winter.

Between constantly washing your hands in an attempt to avoid the flu and germs, to the bitter cold of the winter weather, if you are not giving your hands extra TLC right now, then I’m pretty sure you are suffering with dry, flaky and chapped skin. At my house, I also have a wood stove to help keep my home warm, which also tends to really dry out the air. If my skin isn’t moisturized, it feels the effects of dehydration fairly quickly.

These are my favorite must-have hand creams for winter

Hand Perfection Nourishing Day Cream and Rejuvenating Night Cream ($39.95 for 3 products): Love that this set has a shea butter and anti-oxidant rich cream for both day and night and if you buy it through the website, it also comes with an amazing nail and cuticle treatment for free. These creams absorb quickly and make your hands soft and supple.

Amala Rejuvenating Hand Cream ($18): I carry around the 15ml size because it is handy for on-the-go (they also sell a larger 50ml version.) This hand cream has a spa-like scent and with its non-greasy texture, it quickly absorbs into your skin.

lifetherapy Handcremes ($18): I love the different scents that lifetherapy has to offer in their body cremes, body washes and scrubs. The handcreme feels like velvet on your skin while the essential oils and aloe nourish your hands.

Don’t forget the sunscreen! UV rays can do damage no matter what the season is. Your hands are in the direct line of fire…especially when you have your hands on the wheel! So don’t forget to apply a sunscreen with SPF 30 to your hands as well. I personally use Pevonia Botanica Ligne Soleil SPf 30 Hydrating Sunscreen. There’s no greasy residue and it goes on matte.
