This is my first ever Youngblood purchase and I went with the Youngblood Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow Quad in Purple Majesty. This quad contains the shades Moonstone ( a sheer satin white), Lilac Bouquet (a light warm satin lavender), Wild Orchid (a warm orchid mixed with bronze satin with a bit of metallic sheen, and Heather Smoke ( a deeper purple shade).
I was suprised by the pigmentation…there just wasn’t much on the two lighter shades. Moonstone was a bit powdery and Lilac Bouquet pretty much blended away on the eye. Wild Orchid is a gorgeous shade, clearly my favorite. Heather Smoke has just okay pigmentation. I’m undecided on this quad. I can make it work, but I didn’t expect to put in this much effort. Youngblood quads run $43.00 and I’m undecided if I’ll be willing to drop that much money again.
Swatches left to right over Urban Decay Primer Potion: Moonstone, Lilac Bouquet, Wild Orchid, & Heather Smoke.
On my eyes I placed an eyeshadow primer, I think it is absolutely necessary with these shades and I still wasn’t too happy with pigmentation. On my lid I applied Lilac Bouquet then added Wild Orchid lightly in the crease. I wanted an easy daytime look since these shades are usually sheer. Moonstone was used in my inner corner and as a highlight. I then added mascara.

I liked the outcome although I prefer a bit more pizazz. I think next time I’ll add a bit of plum eyeliner. What do you think? What are your favorite Youngblood items?
