Smashbox Photo Op Eye Enhancing Palette Reviews

Dramatic, bold eyes are very popular, however an elegant soft eye never gets old.  Create a bold eye with Smashbox’s Photo Op Eye Enhancing Palette ($39) in Smokebox or go for a more romantic look with the Softbox palette. Get a camera-ready look with this set of six perfectly coordinated Photo Op Eye Shadows.

Each palette comes with an awesome compact with a nice size mirror and not to mention a double sided makeup brush that is soft as can be. Each palette consists of 6 pigmented colors, which apply smoothly, last all day and the colors blend very well. The Photo Op Eye Enhancing Palettes are timeless and will create the perfect look for women of any age.

Between both palettes there are so many different eye shadow applications to choose from.  I chose 4 beautiful shades from Softbox’s palette: Sandstorm for the lid, Russet for a small section of the first half of the crease and opting not to apply too close to the inner corner. I then blended Sumatra to the end of the crease, kind of giving the cat eye affect which helps minimize the appearance of sagging eyes. I then finished this beautiful, natural eye by highlighting under the brow with Bare.

If you want to achieve this sexy yet playful dramatic night time look with Smokebox, follow these makeup tips: First you apply Seafoam to the lid, but only 1/4 of the lid, applying it closer to the tear duct. Then apply Black Current about 3 quarters of the way followed by Blackout. You should have 3 shades on your lid. Then lightly apply Thunder to the crease, blending and dragging the colors up a little, but not too far to give yourself space to apply a highlighter. For highlighter, I chose Alabaster and applied it right underneath the brow and also in the corner of the lid dragging it under towards the bottom lid. You may also finish this look by applying your favorite mascara, and  liquid liner or pencil.
