Gabriel Color Multipot & Zuzu Luxe Bronzer Review

Zuzu Did you know that some women with gluten sensitivity need to avoid gluten not only in their food, but also in their cosmetics?  If you react to gluten in your food, you will react to it in your makeup as well. This is something I’ve been hearing a ton about lately as a couple of my cousins were recently diagnosed as gluten intolerant. After digging a little deeper, it’s incredible to learn just how many things contain gluten … including most cosmetics. Some women develop intestinal, skin or emotional symptoms, depending upon the severity of their gluten intolerance. For those who aren’t familiar – Gluten is a protein found in wheat, barley and rye.

If gluten is something you have sensitivity to, this review is just for you. Gabriel Cosmetics line is Certified Gluten-Free & Vegan . . . and fabulous!

I first started seeing Gabriel Cosmetics in magazines a few months ago. Getting to peek into celebrities handbag contents (my favorite feature!) and reading what products were used to achieve their look is something I always notice … and then attempt to recreate. I’ve noticed Gabriel and Zuzu cosmetics in the mags a bunch lately and now it’s all starting to make sense to me … celebs are obsessed with health … and this is a gluten free and organic cosmetic line! Those things go hand in hand in Hollywood.  If you follow Lucy Camden … err I mean Beverly Mitchell’s (who played Lucy on 7th Heaven – my fellow children of the 90’s know what’s up!) features in People Magazine you may have noticed she was carrying around some Gabriel in her purse in a recent issue.

Gabriel Color and Zuzu Luxe by Gabriel Cosmetics are two different lines, both all natural, vegan, and gluten free makeup. The mineral bronzer ($28) I tried was from the Zuzu Luxe collection. It comes in two shades and gave me a nice sun kissed glow, without needing to step outside into that harmful sun! I used a powder brush and applied the bronzer to my face and neck of course! Bronzer is my secret weapon in the summer. I try to stay out of the sun as much as possible, but love a little glow on my cheeks! The formula is long lasting, enough so that I didn’t need to reapply at all throughout the day.

Now onto something I was slightly skeptical about at first and have to admit totally surprised me. Gabriel Color’s new Multipot ($18) is described as mistake-proof beauty. It’s a three in one product for women on the go that adds a little touch of a bronzed pink tone.  I’ve never use a three in one product before and I’m not a huge fan of cream blush . . . but . . . this little pot works wonders for a natural look. For those days where you don’t want to look like you tried too hard, but want to be fresh faced, a couple swipes to your eyelids, lips and cheeks goes a long way. I used it on only one half of my face to give you a better idea.

Gabriel Color Multipot

Florentina: Bronzed Pink with neutral undertones.

It’s blendable and buildable, but you can use more or less to achieve your desired look. And an added bonus, the Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil used in the eye lip cheek multipot works to reinforce collagen synthesis and delay skin wrinkling. (Yes, please … delay and then delay some more!)

Just like when I’m drinking something really good I insist everyone around me take a sip, I forced all of my girlfriends to swipe their finger across my Multipot and try some. They were all surprised with how impressed they were with the outcome as much as I was. For a 3 in 1, the Multipot is a great go-to for those days you don’t want to look like you tried too hard, but want a fresh face!
