Since moving to California, my skin has faced its share of challenges trying to acclimate to a much drier climate than I was used to in Miami. My usual moisturizers have just not been able to live up to the challenge, even the moisturizers that got me through the driest winters in Minnesota have fallen short. Not wanting to go through summer with dry, scaly skin I opted to give pure shea butter a try. Normally I would not use pure shea butter on my skin in the summer. Even in winter I tend to only use it on my feet, elbows and knees, but nothing else seems to be working so it was definitely worth a try. That said, for the past week I have been relying on Nourish Organic Raw Shea Butter to remedy my dry skin issues.
Nourish Organic Raw Shea Butter is exactly what it sounds like, organic shea butter in its raw form. Nourish Organic Raw Shea Butter contains no synthetic chemicals or unnecessary processing. I prefer to wear one scent at a time so I love that the butter basically has no scent. It is uber hydrating and does not take really long to be absorbed, which was surprising since it is so deeply moisturizing. I have only been using the shea butter all over my body at night since it’s a bit too heavy for all over daytime usage. But I have noticed that when I do apply it at night my skin is still pretty hydrated the next day so I really only need to use it at night. Over the last week my skin felt softer and smoother and looks a whole lot better, I can no longer write my name with my fingernails on my skin so that’s definitely a huge improvement.
Have you tried organic raw shea butter?
