The moment I saw Urban Decay’s Facebook post teasing the release of a Naked 3 palette, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. Then I wondered, which shades could they possibly come up with that aren’t already covered in my beloved Naked 1 and Naked 2? PINKS! Roses! Yes!
While I love the neutral colors in the Naked 1 and 2 palettes, I’m fair skinned and totally a pink girl. I couldn’t be more thrilled that Naked 3 ($52) is filled with rose hues. The day that it came out on Urban Decay’s website, I attempted to order it, but it sold out SUPER fast. Everyone was after it! I must have talked about it enough to look like a hint drop, because somehow my husband (he’s listening even when it looks like he isn’t?!) surprised me with Naked 3! (He must have been one of the people who beat me to it online! Either way, I was beyond thrilled … he’s a keeper!)
I am obsessed with Urban Decay as it is, the first two Naked palettes quickly became my go-to favorite eye shadows … but Naked 3 is just taking it to a whole new level. The rose hue palette exceeded my expectations instantly on the first use.
This palette contains 12 rose-hued eye shadows, 4 of which are matte and the other 8 shimmer. Unlike many palettes, they are ALL wearable. You can create day to day looks, spice it up for a night out, and create so many different eyes with this gorgeous palette. This isn’t one of those palettes that you’ll use 3 colors and never touch the rest. You’ll want to mix and match all of them, building a fabulous looking eye!
From left to right (above) they are:
Strange: Pale neutral pink
Dust: Pale metallic pink shimmer
Burnout: Light peach
Limit: Light dusty/rose matte
Buzz: Metallic rose shimmer
Trick: Light metallic pink/copper-ish shimmer
Nooner: Medium pink/brown matte
Liar: Medium metallic mauve shimmer
Factory: Pink/brown satin
Mugshot: Metallic taupe shimmer
Darkside: Deep taupe/mauve satin
Blackheart: Smokey black with red shimmer
Naked 3 does not disappoint! Like the other Naked Palettes, Naked 3 comes with crease and shadow brush and once applied, the shadows don’t move. The brush is great quality and in comparison to the brush that comes with Naked 1 and 2, the best yet! These palettes are irresistible.
Urban Decay also JUST released Naked Ultra Nourishing Lipgloss and of course, I already hunted them down. Many stores aren’t carrying them yet, but I found some at my local Sephora and picked up Lovechild. (Told you I like pinks!) I’ll be back with a review of it in a few days, I need to give it a whirl!
