Finely crushed ice, lucious bits of lemon and the tart yet sweet taste of lemonade.

If you are a Rhode Islander, you know exactly what I am describing: Del’s Lemonade. It is the refreshing treat I grew up with while living back in my home state, and no, it is NOT Italian ice.

So when Makes Scents Natural Spa Line sent their Organic Spiked Lemonade my way, my immediate thoughts upon opening the products were summer and happiness. Isn’t it funny how a fragrance can make you immediately nostalgic?

Organic Spiked Lemonade Sugar Scrub ($25): This tantalizing skin treatment is 100% organic handcrafted with certified organic sugar cane, lemon oil, zest, and small batch whiskey distilled right here in the U.S.A. Organic cane juice contains natural alpha-hydroxy acid to exfoliate the skin, while vitamin C-packed lemon essential oil brightens and firms the skin. This scrub is so pure that it is also edible. I did not try to eat it due to the fact that more of it may end up in my belly than on my skin.

Spiked Lemonade Body Butter ($20): This creamy butter contains organic sunflower seed and lemon oil, shea butter, cocoa butter, and a little shot of the same organic U.S.A.-distilled whiskey as is in the scrub. The Body Butter melts into your skin, leaving a lasting fragrance and perfect hydration.

If you love fresh citrus scents, you’ll absolutely love this Spiked Lemonade fragrance. Of course, it’s more than just a pretty scent…but a powerful skin perfector!
