Shannon has always had the unique ability to read and understand people. With a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Rhode Island College, Shannon combines her talent of writing with an understanding of the emotional connection consumers have to the products they love.
Shannon started A Girl’s Gotta Spa, her self-owned beauty blog, in 2005 to connect her love of beauty products with reviews that consumers could relate to. In 2006 she began writing Makeup Minute for b5media LLC and that same year was appointed Chief Blogger and Publicist for Pierce Mattie Public Relations; in 2008 she then became their Corporate Communications Director. When Shannon isn’t blogging she is helping companies understand blogging and social media, whether it is approaching bloggers for product reviews or setting up a blog and utilizing social media tools themselves.
