Garnier’s Clean + Balancing Daily Exfoliator Review

Garnier Balancing Exfoliator #review #skincare

I’m all over the place when it comes to skin care. I’ve been brand loyal with my daily moisturizer since I was 12, (my mom’s favorite is still my favorite,) but when it comes to face wash, I can safely say I’ve tried every product on the shelf at least once. After years of experimenting with pretty much every face cleanser under the sun, I can safely say Garnier’s new  Clean + Balancing Daily Exfoliator was the most pleasant morning pick me up (besides coffee) I’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing.

There’s lots of exciting stuff coming from Garnier for Spring 2014. I think they are trying to target a young buyer with their new collection and I’m all about it. The new Garnier Clean + Skincare Collection is available with newly launched cleansers, a new moisturizer and a facial primer. Read more

Miracle Skin Transformer Miracle Balm Review

Miracle Skin Transformer Miracle Balm #review #beauty

It has been a never ending winter here in the northeast and my skin is really not happy about it. In one of my last posts, I was so excited to add two new products to my daily beauty line up for dry skin…but now we can make that three.

I’ve never had such a problem with dry skin before, especially on my face. If you live in an area with brutally cold temps and you’re experiencing this same sensitivity and dehydration on your face, meet the Miracle Skin Transformer Miracle Balm ($36) from Sarah McNamara. It’s brand new, just available this month, and really is a miracle.

While a vitamin C serum was a great addition to my daily routine, the never ending freezing cold temps were still leaving areas around my nose really dry. It was actually kind of embarrassing and I felt so self conscious that I couldn’t get that area under control. I’ve never had to deal with skin issues like this before and my heart goes out to those with regular dry skin. On the coldest days, I felt like nothing was giving me the relief and hydration my face needed until I found Sarah McNamara’s Miracle Skin Transformer Miracle Balm. Read more

Roses de Chloe Review

Roses de Chloe #perfume #review

I could not be more in love with my new fragrance, Roses de Chloe and the feedback from friends and co-workers on the scent is something to talk about. It’s a new girly rosy version of the original Chloe and an instant hit. It seems as if everyone I walk by wants to know what my fragrance is, including my male boss! (It makes me happy to know I smell nice!)

I first fell in love with rose scents when I was searching for a fragrance to wear on my wedding day. I read an article that suggested choosing a new fragrance to wear on your wedding day, something you don’t already wear, so that when you smell that scent in the future, you associate the scent with that special day. I ended up choosing a rose fragrance and now anything that smells remotely like it reminds me of our big day! Roses de Chloe is one of those rare scents that instantly lifts your mood to a happy place. It’s a MUST sniff! Read more

Winter Skin Problems Solved : LypSyl and Lumeme Dry Skin Cocktail to the Rescue!

Winter Skin Care Problem Solvers #beauty #skincare

I think I can speak for most of us when I say … I am so over this winter! It can feel free to exit stage left anytime now.

This winter has been brutal! Snow removal has been a pain, navigating the slippery roads has been a disaster, and the cold has been killer on my skin. Being a compulsive lip balm and moisturizer user, I don’t remember ever feeling as dry as I have this winter. I’ve never had (or needed) a special Winter skin care regimen. My usual daily moisturizer and lip balm were all I needed … until this Polar Vortex-out of control-freezing cold-full of snow-winter we are in the middle of.

My skin hates this winter and to be honest, it started to get a painful. My poor face actually started to hurt and my lips … oh my lips … they were SO dry it was painful.  My usual routine wasn’t cutting it this winter, so I’ve enlisted some new products to join my daily routine and I can report that I am dry no longer.  I’m thankful for that. It was a terrible feeling to smack my lips together and have it hurt. Same goes for my face. The Groundhog saw his shadow, so we’ve got a bit longer to suffer this winter! If you’re experiencing dry skin or dry lips, here’s what did the trick for me. Read more

Urban Decay Naked Ultra Nourishing Lipgloss Review

Urban Decay Naked Ultra Nourishing Lipgloss #review #makeup

If you read my Urban Decay Naked 3 eye shadow palette review, you could probably tell that I’m pretty much obsessed with UD’s Naked line. My passion for their eye shadows drove me to hunt down the new Urban Decay Naked Ultra Nourishing Lipgloss ($20) the moment it was available. No really, I literally called around to every Sephora and Ulta within an hour’s drive to see if they had any in yet. My local Sephora had just gotten a few in and they weren’t even on display yet. Urban Decay Naked 3 Review and Swatches

Urban Decay Naked 3 #eyeshadow palette #review

The moment I saw Urban Decay’s Facebook post teasing the release of a Naked 3 palette, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. Then I wondered, which shades could they possibly come up with that aren’t already covered in my beloved Naked 1 and Naked 2? PINKS! Roses! Yes!

While I love the neutral colors in the Naked 1 and 2 palettes, I’m fair skinned and totally a pink girl. I couldn’t be more thrilled that Naked 3 ($52) is filled with rose hues. The day that it came out on Urban Decay’s website, I attempted to order it, but it sold out SUPER fast. Everyone was after it! I must have talked about it enough to look like a hint drop, because somehow my husband (he’s listening even when it looks like he isn’t?!) surprised me with Naked 3! (He must have been one of the people who beat me to it online! Either way, I was beyond thrilled … he’s a keeper!) Read more

Manna Kadar’s Sheer Glow Review

MANNA Kadar Sheer Glow #review #makeup

I’m super excited to share with you a product I wish I had on my wedding day and am so thankful to have discovered. I spent the last year (no joke) on the hunt for a product that would give my skin a dewy glow. I spent hundreds of dollars on body scrub spa treatments, bought tons of products that claimed to give a glow, and never really achieved that dewy glow I was going for. Then, a couple of weeks, I discovered Manna Kadar’s Sheer Glow ($29). Read more

EO Rose and Chamomile Collection Review

EO Rose & Chamomile Bubble Bath #review

The EO Rose & Chamomile line feels like a fancy spa all bottled up and ready to take home!  (EO stands for essential oils – their products contains their essential oil blends!) Well, more like a fancy spa experience, without the fancy spa price tag! Even better, right? We See Beauty MAKE Aether Palette Review

MAKE Aether Eye Shadow Palette #Review

MAKE is the beauty brand of a new company and online shop called We See Beauty. We See Beauty’s goal is to promote social and economic change through cooperative development. We See Beauty is a for-benefit marketplace of ideas, stories and products that support the cooperative movement. A movement that believes that through shared ownership we can establish a more equitable and beautiful society for all. By selling beautiful ideas and products, including MAKE – the first for-benefit brand of We See Beauty – their goal is to empower local economies and strengthen communities, starting with New York. Thirty percent of all sales will go to fund and build a woman-led cooperative in Brooklyn, set to be the first of many. As far as I’m concerned, this is probably the coolest company I’ve ever heard of and quite possibly an even cooler makeup palette. Read more

Butter LONDON Nail Lacquer Review

butter LONDON Cheeky Chops and Primrose Hill Picnic #review

This may be a form of OCD, but I feel disheveled and incomplete when my nails aren’t painted. They don’t even need to be done well, they just need to be painted… and the brighter the better. As far as manicures go, I almost always bring my own polish to the salon. That way, I can bring the color home and touch up/change my own polish to freshen things up after a week or so! I’m all about extending the life of beauty treatments because let’s be real, who has time to sit in the chair every week?

Since I bring my own polish to the salon, I’m constantly buying new polish. There are a few things that make me gravitate toward a polish … the shape of the bottle, the handle (when they are too small I drop it!), and the color! From there, the applicator becomes the final test. No one likes a nail polish brush that’s too small! Somehow, after years of trying almost every polish under the sun, I am somehow JUST trying butter LONDONnail lacquer ($15) for the first time. I’ve been seeing the butter LONDON display at Ulta for years and I’ve noticed the bottle in magazines, but this was admittedly my first time trying the brand. Read more
