One of my favorite cruelty free makeup brands is IT Cosmetics. They also happen to make the most amazing makeup brushes that are incredibly soft (like swiping a cloud across your face.) Their newest palette, CC+ Radiance, contains a color correcting powder, as well as a universal blush and bronzer to brighten skin. Each powder is aimed at improving the appearance of your skin tone – so not just concealing an uneven skin tone, but enhancing it in a very natural way. I don’t know about you, but lately all of these conceal and contour how-to’s out there seem to take beauty to an extreme. I’m really more about natural beauty and that’s what I really love about this Radiance Palette. Read more
Ever since I decided to make the leap into wearing red lipstick, I’ve become obsessed. While I know that self-confidence comes from within, the perfect red lipstick can get you there a little quicker.
Cruelty free cosmetics brand, Cate McNabb, has some incredibly hydrating lipsticks and Be Mine basically begged to be worn. It’s a pink-based satin red that screams I got this. Or like a boss (as my kids would say.) Read more
I’m always on the lookout for a BB or CC cream that not only matches my skin tone but also has SPF 20 and over, covers without feeling heavy or oily, helps to reduce the size of my pores and gives me a little glow. My skin could be described as medium to dark with green undertones and most BB or CC creams ends up making my face look slightly ashy or like I went crazy with a really dark bronzer. I find that mixing two of the several variations of medium colors that I have sometimes gives me the look I’m going for, but honestly with my busy schedule most days I don’t have the time for mixing as I need something that simplifies my morning routine. Two of the most luxurious colors out there – whether jewelry, accessories, home decor or makeup – is silver and gold. I’m not the matchy matchy type and firmly believe you can mix and match these metals. Here are my top ten drool worthy silver and gold makeup products and some nail polish for good measure. Read more
There’s something that a black eyeliner conveys that brown or even brightly colored or metallic eyeliners can’t duplicate.
Black says bold, daring, classic, sexy. While there are times that I opt for brown or grey, a good black eyeliner is always my first choice. Read more

The bareMinerals bareSkin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation appears to be a love it or hate it type of product. I’ve been using it as my only foundation for a few months now and there are some definite pros and cons. But are the cons enough to make me ditch it? I’m undecided until I see how it functions when my skin changes due to the elements of winter.
In total transparency, I have never used a foundation from bareMinerals before, so I can’t really compare this to the coverage their other foundations provide. However, since it is a liquid foundation, I’ve used plenty of those like LORAC’s POREfection Foundation and Urban Decay’s Naked Skin Foundation, so I know what I’m looking for in comparison. I love products with a story behind them, which is why I am positively crazy in love with LAQA&Co. Fat Lip Pencils.
The Fat Lip Pencil is a glossy jumbo lip pencil that does not need a sharpener, which I think is absolutely brilliant because there is nothing worse than having to purchase a sharpener for every brand of lip pencil that I decide to try (which is A LOT.) The LAQA&Co. Fat Lip Pencil has a beautiful glossy sheen with a lightweight, smooth, moisturizing feel on my lips and a refreshing minty scent and taste. Read more

Are you guilty of sleeping with your makeup on? Make it the one beauty tip you never forget.
I’ve been there myself, late night and you’re super tired. It’s not that big of a deal if I forget this one time to wash off my makeup, right? As we all know, that one time becomes many more times than we care to admit. Before you know it, you’re battling clogged pores, dry patches of skin and wrinkles rearing their ugly head. Your face is no longer a pretty sight. Just watch this video of Nikki Phillippi and you’ll know what I mean.
Swisspers, which is part of U.S. Cotton, is on a mission to get you to Sleep Naked by removing your makeup daily. Here’s why: Read more
Don’t you just LOVE when you try something new and then that’s the very thing you get complimented on all day long? That’s always the #1 way I know I’m onto something good.
The very first day I took Butter LONDON’s new Wink Eye Pencil in Twigged ($18) for a spin, two ladies in the office asked, “Are you doing something new with your eye makeup?” My usual look is a little black eyeliner on my lid with some eye shadow and mascara, but on this day, I used some blended and smudged Twigged on my lower lash line and a little bit smeared inward from the corner of my upper lash line.
