I absolutely love getting new makeup. Trying the different colors and products, choosing a favorite, bringing it home and opening that pretty new package. It’s even better when I get something I haven’t tried before. Like makeup from CIRCA Beauty, a cruelty free makeup line that’s affordable, long wearing, trendy, and appeals to different skin tones. And oh yeah, the Creative Director just happens to be Eva Mendez.

I usually cannot find foundations or a BB cream that doesn’t end up being too dark or makes my skin looks ashy. This makeup line is simply amazing! My skin tone would be considered medium brown with yellow undertones and both the Color Balance BB Cream (03 Medium) and Color Balance Liquid Foundation (07) matched my skin without being chalky. My skin looked smooth and radiant! Read more
Two of the most luxurious colors out there – whether jewelry, accessories, home decor or makeup – is silver and gold. I’m not the matchy matchy type and firmly believe you can mix and match these metals. Here are my top ten drool worthy silver and gold makeup products and some nail polish for good measure. Read more
There’s something that a black eyeliner conveys that brown or even brightly colored or metallic eyeliners can’t duplicate.
Black says bold, daring, classic, sexy. While there are times that I opt for brown or grey, a good black eyeliner is always my first choice. Read more
Don’t you just LOVE when you try something new and then that’s the very thing you get complimented on all day long? That’s always the #1 way I know I’m onto something good.
The very first day I took Butter LONDON’s new Wink Eye Pencil in Twigged ($18) for a spin, two ladies in the office asked, “Are you doing something new with your eye makeup?” My usual look is a little black eyeliner on my lid with some eye shadow and mascara, but on this day, I used some blended and smudged Twigged on my lower lash line and a little bit smeared inward from the corner of my upper lash line. Believe it or not, a blogger’s makeup bag is not always overflowing with products when we travel. Most of us have a handful of products we are loyal to simply because they get the job done while home or away.
I recently spent some time in Atlantic City and asked fellow bloggers Kelly Augustine from www.KellyAugustine.com and Lyuba from www.WillCookForSmiles.com what their must have beauty products were while traveling. Watch the video to hear about our favorite beauty products and then find the links to all of them below: Read more

Michelle Williams is back with her new album, Journey to Freedom (now available for pre-order.) Good Morning America dubbed it as a “personal journey,” however my personal opinion is that it is more of a spiritual journey. On the debut track, Say Yes, Queen Bey and Kelly Rowland are featured and I am so stoked for a Christian song to go mainstream.
Michelle looks AMAZING and that meant I needed all the details on what makeup was used for the video as well as the look the makeup artist wanted Michelle to evoke. Thanks to the Indian Tyler’s Beyond the Vanity show on LA Talk Live, I discovered celebrity makeup artist DeeDee Kelly who did Michelle’s makeup for the LA portion of the video filming. Read more

I love a simplified makeup routine. An eye-catching look is easy to achieve with Pantone’s color of the year, Radiant Orchid. Purple and pink hues are some of the most universally flattering eye shadow colors. But if you have brown or hazel eyes, you know that this color really can make your eyes pop.
For this look, I used only 6 products.
1. Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion
2. Shiseido Shimmering Cream Eye Color in Magnolia (PK302) on the lid. Read more
Never be afraid to play with color! While neutrals may be a girl’s best friend, and your safest makeup approach, when done right, bright eye shadows lend to an overall brightening effect on your skin.
Here’s what I used to achieve the above makeup look: Read more
1. Apply primer. (I love Urban Decay Eye Primer Potion.)
2. Then on the inner lid and crease place a stripe of gold. Also bring it down to your inner lower lash line. I used mark. fab 5 (I use this set endlessly!) Read more

Does Best: Brightening the Eyes with Kohl.
Product: Al Sharifan Kohl Kajal Eyeliner. I was first introduced to kohl eye powder over twenty years ago in Morocco where women would make their own from oil and herbs. This one is one of the oldest around. You apply it to the waterline of your eyes both top and bottom to brighten and define your eyes. It’s a super dark black, powdery kohl that is also believed to protect eyes from the sun (especially in the desert where it gets its origins) and helps smooth and cool them. Read more
