I’m loving all the rich Fall colors in the new Butter London x Allure collection! I’m not yet ready for Fall, but I’m okay with winding down this hot, hot Summer. So, let’s do a mani of a typical Spring flower – the cherry blossom!

Time is a priceless commodity these days. When you’re trying to squeeze in some me time, it can seem almost impossible.
I recently had the opportunity to try a new scheduling app called MyTime that you can book salon and spa (and many other services) directly from your phone or via the web. I’ll be honest, I usually do all the legwork myself from searching area spas and salons, to looking up their menu’s and pricing to researching reviews. Sometimes I’ll begin the process only to get distracted among all those steps and then put it off another day. Then that haircut that I needed at week 6 suddenly becomes week 10. (I get distracted really easily.) I was willing to give MyTime a shot to see how it all worked. Read more

I love the look of textured nail polish. However, many textured polishes tend to scrape off easily making the effort of applying them practically useless. The Feather polishes from Pretty Woman are another story entirely. You can achieve a textured look that is still smooth to the touch minimizing the chance of it scratching off.
Right now I’m calling Pretty Woman’s Feather nail polish in Kingfisher my fun polish. It’s like tiny pieces of red, yellow and blue confetti having a party on your nails. Read more
Two of the most luxurious colors out there – whether jewelry, accessories, home decor or makeup – is silver and gold. I’m not the matchy matchy type and firmly believe you can mix and match these metals. Here are my top ten drool worthy silver and gold makeup products and some nail polish for good measure. Read more
Continuing to prove that nail art doesn’t need to be difficult, I asked Nidia from Lit From Within to recreate a nail look with a tutorial. For this nail art how to, Nidia took inspiration from A Nail Addict Named Sonia @badgirlnails.
First, paint your nails with a fun glitter. Go as blingy as you like, but if it’s textured, you’ll probably want to put down a thick topcoat before moving on with this look.
When you’re using striping tape, you need to wait for your base layer to be *completely* dry. You can’t fake this step. Use a fast drying topcoat if you want to hurry the process a little, but putting tape on wet polish means that the polish will stick to the tape. The key is patience! Read more
I love nail art that looks really intricate, yet is effortlessly simply in application. I asked fellow beauty blogger and fellow Pennsylvanian, A Little Polish
to create a tutorial just for A Girl’s Gotta Spa!
If you’re looking for some simple abstract floral nail art, here’s a tutorial to get this floral look in three easy steps, using only a couple colored polishes, a striping brush and dotting tool!
Mission: Find a long lasting manicure, as well as a nail polish that dries quickly.
Whether you get your nails done professionally at the salon or you simply do them at home, I’m pretty confident that every woman is in search of a polish that lasts longer than a day (and isn’t Shellac) and that doesn’t take 30-45 minutes to dry completely.
By a chance meeting at iRetreat2014, I got to meet beauty vlogger Julie G in the Rite Aid Wellness Lounge, who has her own line of polishes as well as being the Spokesperson for Jesse’s Girl Cosmetics. She had some samples from both lines, the JetSet Quick Drying Top Coat and JulieG Nail Color among them. Let me say, it was kismet, because I think I’ve now found the polish brand I will be loyal to for many years. Read more
