Herbacin Make-up Remover Review

For a long time now, I've been using make-up remover wipes to take off my make-up at night. It's been easy and convenient, but it's not always the best choice for my skin type. I wanted to get back to using a make-up remover that wouldn't cause me to tug Read more

Spa Crawl Video: Spa Week April 12th-18th

The 12th edition of the Spa Week Event is slated for April 12th – 18th, 2010. In total, the nationwide Spa Week Spring Event will include 30 markets and a list of participating spas has been poted www.spaweek.com as of March 15th. The Spring Spa Week Event will bring $50 spa treatments to consumers at over 800 spas across North America. As always, the goal is to introduce a new generation of consumers to the benefits of a healthy lifestyle by opening up the spa industry to the masses.

I LOVE this video that Michelle Joni from Spa Week did for her spa crawl to promote the promotion. (And I really want in on that aloe mask too!) A Girl’s Gotta Spa after all…

YSL Spring Collection: Mauve Silk and Opera Rose

YSL Mauve SilkThe weather has been amazingly beautiful here in Northeast PA the past week. And do you know how I know it is Spring? No, not from that owl that sits outside my window as nature’s alarm clock at 6am…but because of all of the palettes of makeup arriving at department store counters and online boutiques with their soft hues that say we can finally be done with our winter look. YSL’s Spring makeup collection began selling out from the day it launched and rightfully so, the colors are very chic!

La Laque in Mauve Silk: This is the perfect shade of lavender! It reminds me of Springtime in Rhode Island, where I grew up. Specifically making a trip with my mother and younger sister to find the perfect Easter dress. My sister always loved purple. YSL’s Mauve Silk, using a basecoat and topcoat, lasted about 4 days before beginning to chip at the tips. Although, I believe that has a lot to do with the fact that my line of work has me typing at my computer 24/7.  Read more

It’s Time to Exfoliate and Get Polished for Spring

Yes, the days are longer and I am hoping that the sun is shining in your part of the country. It’s time to pack away heavy winter pants and tights and bare legs with swingy skirts for spring! I don’t know about you, but my legs are in need of some tender loving care. Now is the time to get in the habit (if you aren’t already) for a weekly exfoliation on your arms and legs. Wash away dead dry skin and reveal a smoother softer texture. I’ve already started wearing skirts here in California, and am sooo excited. With all of the pretty spring floral dresses and strappy sandals I’ll definitely need my legs to look their best. I’ve already unpacked and can’t wait to wear my new Christian Louboutin esapdrilles I bought on sale last fall.  Read more
