A Girl's Gotta Spa! Leaping Bunny Certified as Cruelty Free

Something I've learned in my 8+ years of beauty blogging, is that many brands like to say they are something without any proof to back it. Brands say they are natural, but the ingredient label tells a different story. Brands say they are organic because they assume you won't Read more

#Eyes4NYC Twitter Party 4/24 #ad

This summer I'll be 40. Wrinkles and fine lines know their way around my face like a road map. I wish what I know now about anti-aging, I knew 20 years ago so that I could take better care of my skin. However, since I can't literally turn back Read more

Beauty Benefits of Lime

It may sound silly, but even though I don't drink, those Corona commercials snag my attention every time. Sounds of the ocean, the sense of relaxation and the refreshing lime placed perfectly in the bottle neck. It's that lime that calls out to me saying, "Let me quench your Read more

Review: MAC Cosmetics Colour Craft

20090727-mac-cosmetics-natural-flare-eyeshadowMAC Cosmetics newest makeup collection, Colour Craft, is an amazing palette of fall color goodness. Actually, so many of the colors in their eye shadow palettes made me think of clothes with those same colors that I’d like to wear this autumn. Purple Lab’s Kiss and Tell Contest

20090723-huge-lips-skinny-hips-contestPurple Lab is having a pretty cool contest going on, but the prize is even better. As you may remember, I am in love with Huge Lips Skinny Hips (in Worship Kate) so I am all about this contest. Have you heard about it yet?

Go to www.purplelab.com/kissandtell and choose which lip gloss color you identify with. Upload a photo of yourself and say why. You review, vote and share and as you share, you get a viral map that shows where your content has gone all over the internet (as others share) and where around the world (on a google map!) So if you want to see how far your word of mouth goes, this is a great way to do it and see it visually! Read more

Travel Beauty: Las Vegas

20090723-lasvegassignIt was my first trip to sin city where the temperature is hot and sometimes (Ok most times) the guys are even hotter.  I was in the city to speak at Cosmoprof North America on social media for Private Label, staying at the very luxurious Mandalay Bay. It quite honestly was the best time I have had in a very, very long time (and was much needed!) But this post isn’t about my time there, but instead to focus on my Travel Beauty series I like to do when I travel.

As always, I like to pack the necessities I can’t leave home without. This time it was a mix of some new products I am trying, as well as products I adore. Starting from left to right… Read more
