Probiotic Skin Care: Miracle Ingredient or Marketing Hype?

As a consumer, my hope is that when a product comes to market, it delivers information that is true. I mean, we're all so busy, who has the time to fact check everything? For a while, we all believed the mascara commercials and ads where the spokesperson/model had the most Read more

Tips for Gray Hair #GrayAway

I hate to break it to you, but eventually gray hair will rule your mane. Chances are, if you are reading this article, you already know this to be true. When we go gray, and how much, is a mix of genetics and lifestyle. So while you may not be Read more

Charcoal Skin Care Products for Acne Prone Skin

Do you have oily or combination skin? You may want to consider incorporating charcoal into your skin care regimen. Sure, charcoal is totally on trend right now and may seem like a fad, but it's for good reason. Charcoal absorbs oil and draws out toxins and bacteria from the skin. Those Read more

Voluminous Beach Wave Hair

Little did I know when growing up on the beaches of Rhode Island, that the wavy hair that came naturally among the sand and surf, would be a hairstyle I would try so hard to achieve as an adult. While my hair does have a slight natural wave to it, Read more

Review: HydroPeptide Power Lift

hydropeptide_power_liftI have to face the fact that this summer I will be 36. I really haven’t minded ages 30-35, but 36, well that means I am closer to middle age. I feel too young for that label.

In my family, the women look younger because they all began taking care of their skin from a young age. They didn’t wait for the wrinkles to set in and then try to fight them, they were proactive to take steps before they actually occurred. I really believe the Fountain of Youth is simply the act of starting a skin care regimen in your early 20’s. In this way you can avoid expensive treatments like Botox, which is poison by the way.

For those of us who are worry warts (raising my hand), we know a thing or two about wrinkles. I refuse to get Botox. Truth be told, I am afraid of needles. So I know that the key to a healthier looking face is one that is exfoliated 1-2 times per week and adequately hydrated (and I don’t mean the beauty myth of drinking water.) That’s where HydroPeptide’s Power Lift comes into play. Read more

Sigma Makeup 12 Piece Professional Brush Set

Makeup is expensive enough, but makeup applicators and brushes can be downright ridiculous in price. If it’s not within your budget to have a full set of high-priced brushes just to put on powder and a bit of eyeshadow, you might want to have a look at Sigma, who make professional standard brushes at very reasonable prices compared to other high-end brands. I think there’s something to be said for each of the sets that Sigma offers, but the one that really caught my eye is this complete kit of professional brushes. With a price of $69 at Mulberrypink.com for 12 brushes… it’s really hard to find a deal like that if the quality of your makeup brushes is important to you.

The set includes five brushes for the face and seven brushes for eye makeup.

In the kit you’ll find:   Read more

Review: Avon MagiX Cashmere Finish Foundation & superExtend Mascara

In this beauty video review I’m dishing on Avon’s MagiX Cashmere Finish Foundation and superExtend mascara. MagiX Cashmere Finish Foundation is a weightless liquid mousse that creates a smooth, luminious finish. It’s as close to air brushing as makeup can get! superExtend mascara is a creamy formula (available in 4 shades) that claims to build long, sleek, separated lashes that create the look of lash extensions. But did they? Watch the video and find out!  Read more
