When my fellow beauty blogger Nichelle at 55 Secret Street raved about Maybelline’s launch of their vibrating mascara, Pulse Perfection, I was excited. I know there are other vibrating mascara’s out there, but right now they are out of my price range. So during a recent trip to Walmart this past weekend, I found it in the beauty section a month before I expected to find it on shelves. I was ecstatic and scooped it right up. So did it work as promised?
Social media, which encompasses blogs, widgets, feeds, podcasts, social networks and digital media, is a global phenomenon happening in all markets regardless of wider economic, social and cultural development. There is no doubt that social media is changing the way businesses reach out to their target consumer and if you aren’t up to speed and learning how to effectively utilize it, then chances are that your competitors already have.
Twitter is one such social media platform that everyone is buzzing about. Twitter is a free micro-blogging service where you send out “tweets” in 140 characters or less. Everyone from celebrities to consumers to brands are “tweeting” not only about what’s on their minds, but about products and services they love. It’s become the hub for word of mouth, brand interaction and customer service.

Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay Resort & Spa debuted their 16,500 square foot state-of-the-art spa back in April and it sure sounds amazing! Signature features including chromotherapy, aromatherapy and water reflexology paths distinguish the spa. The free-standing, full service spa reflects the theme of water and flows with soothing sounds of waterfalls and fountains. I don’t know about you, but I feel like I am in paradise when I look at this picture of the pool at the spa.
I began using Arcona skincare products to supplement my bi-weekly facials at International Orange Spa in San Francisco. Since then I’ve had a baby and was on hiatus from my trips to the spa. Am now back with my facials and still love my Arcona products.
