ManukaClear Mask and ManukaClear Intensive BB Gel

I couldn't have received these products at a better time. With the extremely cold weather and the flu making its rounds at my home, it's left my skin dry, flakey and tight. My usual skin savers weren't doing the trick and my face was starting to look a bit dull. Read more

Yes To Carrots “C You and C Me” Organic Eye and Face Makeup Remover

yes-to-carrots This week I ran across a bottle of Yes to Carrots “Can you C Me Eye and Face Makeup Remover “ at Target and thought I would give it a try. It is basically a milky cleanser. I have used Yes To Carrot’s conditioner on my hair but hadn’t tried any of their skincare products. I have been using Arcona for my daily cleansing routine. I was curious about the brand’s paraben free products and anti-oxidant rich ingredients. The price can’t be beat. I picked up a bottle for $6.99 (8.45 oz); it was marked down from $9.99 at Target. So I thought why not give it a try… Read more

Social Media Trends Webinar with MSLK and Shannon Nelson

Social-MediaOn Thursday, October 22nd, Sheri Koetting, from MSLK, and I are hosting a webinar on the Top Trends in Social Media. Naturally, if you know me, you know we are tackling Blogging (my favorite for many reasons), Facebook and Twitter. Those three networks aren’t news to anyone I’m sure, but we are hoping to provide some lunchtime inspiration for brands to walk away understanding how each can be used effectively to reach their customers and begin conversations.

Last fall I had the opportunity to meet with Sheri in New York and discuss how MSLK was using social media. Thankfully, Sheri liked what I had to say and we have kept in touch ever since.

The webinar is only 20 minutes with 10 minutes for Q & A’s– from 12:30-1:00pm EST and best of all it is free. Now I’ve had a sneak peak of who has registered for this event and I will say in all honesty, wow. I am not only incredibly impressed by who has registered to attend, but also quite humbled that these major brands in beauty and fashion feel that I (speaking for myself) have valuable knowledge to offer them.  So if you hear that Peter Brady crack in my voice on Thursday…it is only because you have amazed me with your presence and for that I am grateful.

If you haven’t already registered, here is the link: http://bit.ly/17NZA3

Dr. Hauschka Volumizing Mascara

drhauschka-mascara

I have been a fan of Dr.Hauschka‘s line of skin care products for years. I love how the natural ingredients feel on my skin, not to mention the lovely scent of the products. Until recently I stopped wearing mascara, as I was concerned about the chemicals so close to my eyes and I have very watery eyes so I need a stay-proof formula. So naturally I looked at Dr. Hauschka’s makeup collection and found he perfect solution. Dr.Hauschka Volumizing Mascara ($29.95 for 0.34 fl oz) is organic so I am not concerned about harmful chemicals and I know that the quality is high. The organic volumizing mascara adds subtle yet shimmering highlights to the lashes. The rose and candelilla waxes in the formula create a firmer, fuller volume to your lashes. The Volume Mascara dries quickly and my tiniest fine lashes are suddenly visible. Also there is no clumping or sticking. This is a fabulous organic mascara and I also love that it helps to fortify my lashes with extracts of eyebright, neem and black tea.
