Skintimate shave cream just got better! Now it’s a non-aerosol, non-lathering lotion that creates a moisture locking barrier on skin to protect and seal in moisture for softer, smoother legs. Just wet legs, apply a thin layer and shave with no nasty nicks or cuts.
There are three varieties:

- Dry Skin – a luxurious créme made especially for dry skin to give maximum hydration. Enriched with moisturizing olive butter, soy, and antioxidant white tea to leave skin feeling noticeably softer and smoother. Read more
You might be wondering what the heck is a seaweed soap and what does it have to do with my beauty routine? I know I was. Turns out seaweed makes an excellent natural exfoliant. This seaweed soap is made by Reviva Labs which means it’s cruelty-free, all natural, effective and inexpensive.
This is what Reviva Labs has to say about their seaweed soap:
Instead of animal tallow (sodium tallowate), common to most soaps, we feature a pure vegetable base of palm and coconut oils. Our Seaweed grains’ scrub action, which helps remove hidden impurities, has been a family favorite in shower or bath for many years. In Spain, Seaweed Soap is even used as part of one’s slimming or anti-cellulite routine. It stimulates circulation and helps discharge toxins. It’s a soap both men and women will love. Benefits: 100% vegetable base; added scrub action – great for use in an anti-cellulite program; no animal fats! Outstanding news for those who prefer all natural beauty products. I’m not completely there yet, but am trying to move toward as many natural beauty products as I can these days. Read more
I love a good body butter, but so many are too greasy or just don’t get the job done. Then I was sent Quince Body Butter, and the excitement over a hydrating moisturizer began. I tried both the Repairing Body Butter, with coffee and pumpkin; and the Antioxidant Body Butter with blueberry, pomegranate and almond.
Repairing Body Butter: What a way to intro Fall! The pumpkin fragrance is delicious! Makes me want to break out the Cool Whip and pumpkin pie! This body butter is enriched with the oils of roasted coffee beans and pumpkin seeds. The texture is thick and creamy, but leaves no greasy residue behind. Read more

Let me be honest with you, I can’t say that it has ever crossed my mind to try a CVS branded beauty product. Sure, I’ve bought generic CVS products, like their Exfoliating Cleansing Towelettes (which are awesome), but never a brand of products created by CVS, like Essence of Beauty. Boy was I missing out. When I was approached to try out their new Lilies and Freesia scented products, I accepted without expectations. And yet, I was SO impressed.
I tried out both their Lilies & Freesia Hand and Body Cream, and Eau de Toilette. Both smell amazing. It is a mix of floral and sandalwood, and smells like an expensive perfume…yet it is only $5.99! The Hand & Body Cream is so hydrating and contains avocado oil and goji berry. The Eau de Toilette fragrance is long lasting, but not overpowering. Read more
I recently added MOR Cosmetics to my bath and body collection when Hautelook offered the collection for sale. I’ve been wanting to try this brand ever since I saw the elegant, feminine , old world packaging online.

The philosophy behind MOR is to provide a personalised sensory journey. We aim to awaken your senses, through creating a memorable pampering experience from the visual packaging to the product offerings. Welcome to the World of MOR.
MOR offers an astounding 19 fragrances! I prefer light floral or citrus scents so I chose Neroli Clementine Body Butter ($16) and Hand Lotion ($14). The fragrance is make up of fresh neroli and sweet clementine resting on a base of bright yuzu and candied orange. The scent immediately opens with the clementine note, (the body butter seriously makes me want to eat it) and the candied orange appears to add dimension to the fragrance. If you like bright, refreshing citrus scents you’ll LOVE Neroli Clementine! Read more
Soap & Glory has quickly become one of the UK’s most well-known (and most-liked) lines of beauty products. Supporting the “Clean of England” since 2006, the cheeky brand started when suds-loving founder Marcia Kilgore used her cosmetic chemistry savvy to create fun, fearless, and fantastically formulated bath, beauty, and body products. After a brief departure, the Soap and Glory brand is back in the U.S. and I am ecstatic! Retro girly, tongue-in-cheek packaging make Soap and Glory products just plain ‘ol fun!! Read more
Canadian company Barefoot Venus, won me over with the their soft and feminine scent Lilly Pilly and the warm, fresh and buttery Lemon Freckle. “Feel angelic, smell heavenly, and be adventurous and adoring, stylish or seductive, capricious but perfectly you! Feel good about yourself and your place in the world. Let you confidence and beauty radiate and inspire!” Barefoot Venus products are natural and formulated without Parabens, Propylene glycol, Mineral oil, Synthetic colors and Sodium Lauryl Sulfate.
And here’s another reason to love Barefoot Venus–S.O.S.- Save Our Skin Extra Rich Body Cream. I tried the small travel sized version and was truly amazed and will be purchasing a full size ASAP. I hesitated trying Coconut Kiss because I thought it was an oil and because coconut scents tend to be synthetic and just downright yucky. I’m veeery picky when it comes to coconut scents.
My mom was a stay-at-home (most moms were in the ‘old days’) and she was an excellent cook and baker. She loved coconut and made this really fabulous cookie she kinda invented. It never had a name to my knowledge–a shortbread cookie on the bottom, with an indent in the middle with your thumb and fill with a concoction of cream cheese, powdered sugar (?), coconut and walnuts, then drizzle melted chocolate on top of that. It was sort of my mom’s ‘signature’ cookie and it won some awards. The only problem mom had with her signature cookie was when she reached for the bag of Baker’s sweetened coconut, her youngest child (that would be me) had more often than not had eaten the entire bag.
