Review: Fusion of Color Cosmetics

Fusion of Color Cosmetics is a mineral makeup line of products aimed at leaving your skin looking flawless without appearing like you are trying too hard. And I think you know what I mean…call it ghosts of pancake makeup past.

They offer a wide variety of mineral makeup from concealers and correctors to finishing powders, eye shadows, blush, etc. I also loved that for some of us still set in our ways of press powder and cream concealers…they offer that too. Their fall palette of colors are gorgeous!Â Working Girl and Too Cool are beautiful.

NYFW Chris Benz and Daniel Martin Talk Lancome’s “Chris & Tell”

Yesterday I had the pleasure of going backstage at the Chris Benz fashion show to talk with him and Daniel Martin regarding their collaboration for Lancome‘s 5th lipstick in their POUT-A-PORTER series aptly named “Chris & Tell.” This coral colored lipstick will be available Spring 2010, but Lancome is already accepting names for the waiting list at their upper west side boutique.

Coming Soon: CHANEL Rouge Allure Luminous Satin Lip Lacquer

CHANEL has a new liquid lipstick coming out in October called Rouge Allure Luminous Satin Lip Lacquer ($32). It is said to be highly pigmented and provide a patent-like shine. As soon as I saw this lipstick, Robert Palmer’s video “Addicted to Love” popped into my head…

Review: Rimmel Glam’Eyes Lash Flirt Mascara

With Rimmelâ€™s Glamâ€™Eyes Lash Flirt Mascara, I felt like I had the longest lashes! I probably only swiped each set of eyelashes two or three times and I could already feel a difference. I went away on vacation for about a week and this mascara was great for touch-ups and it was nice to have it with me on the airplane, too. I could just whip it right out, apply a few swipes of this mascara and it felt good as new.

Kissable Couture Glosses Inspired by Michelle Obama

Celebrity makeup stylist AJ Crimson and model/TV personality Keisha Whitaker (wife of actor/director Forest Whitaker) are the co-creators of a line of luxe lip-gloss, Kissable Couture. The glosses have high shine appeal with the perfect amount of shimmer as well as wearable moisturizing formula without the stickiness of most lip-gloss. Sold at stores including Fred Segal Apolthia, Louis Boston and Henri Bendel.

The collection of glosses includes a custom shade inspired by First Lady Michelle Obama, named aptly “First Lady” and part of the Kissable Collection. It is a nude gloss and is perfect for all complexions. We haven’t heard if the First Lady has tried the gloss, but we love the tribute to her. Our fave from the collection is the “Smooches” gift set. It’s a five-pack of mini glosses, which includes Kissable Couture’s best selling shades. Included in this poutâ€™-of-this-world set are shades including Dreams, Johnny, Dylan, Honesty and Forest.
