This is a sponsored post about Burt’s Bees Renewal Line in partnership with DataRank, all opinions are my own.
Cruelty free skin care brand, Burt’s Bees, has just launched their Renewal skin care line. (Quick! Grab the $3 off coupon code for Walmart here!) They’ve issued a 28-day challenge to see how it changes your skin (which I promptly took them up on.) Right now my skin can’t decide if it is oily, dry or everything in between. Since your skin renews itself every 28 days, it’s the perfect time to try out this line.

Throughout history, women have always coveted longer, fuller lashes. Heck, it’s one of the reasons we’re all on the hunt for that holy grail mascara. Over the years, mascaras have gotten better at helping women fake incredible lashes and the fiber mascara trend is one of them.
I had the opportunity to test out cruelty free cosmetic brand, Physicians Formula, newest innovation – Eye Booster Instant Lash Extension Kit. The kit includes a mascara with a slightly curved brush and a separate bottle of fibers with a wand to apply them. Read more
When it comes to cleansing my body, I never did like using a bar of soap, I have always preferred body washes, gels or shower oils. I have rarely found a soap that I enjoy using. They tend to leave a filmy residue that leaves my skin dry and itchy, especially during winter. So of course I was skeptical when I received a bar of Milky Rose soap from Osmia Organics.
Their soaps are made with organic oils, organic and natural plant butters, organic and wildcrafted herbs, organic milks, and organic or wildcrafted essential oils. They avoid things like synthetic fragrances, artificial colors, parabens and phthalates and there is no animal cruelty involved. Also their soaps are wrapped in 100% post-consumer, recycled paper and hemp twine which is biodegradable and compostable. Read more

Greencupboards has something unique that caught my eye right away and it’s their Eco-traits that accompany each product sold on their website. A Girl’s Gotta Spa! Eco-traits are: cruelty free (we are Leaping Bunny certified), recyclable, vegan, BPA-free packaging, made in the USA and smart packaging (minimal packing = minimal waste.) Cruelty Free Consumer takes the guesswork out of finding great beauty, baby, pet and lifestyle brands that are truly cruelty free.
I love Leaping Bunny’s approach to sorting out which brands are certified cruelty free, because you can certainly say you are, but until you are certified…it’s simply just a marketing point on your product page. As a Leaping Bunny certified bath and body brand, A Girl’s Gotta Spa! is able to partner with other like-minded retailers, like Cruelty Free Consumer, who take the guesswork out of asking yourself, “Is this brand cruelty free?” Read more
The concept of A Girl’s Gotta Spa! began simple enough 9 years ago this October.
I was 31 years old at the time. I moved from the suburbs of the Philadelphia area to the rural surroundings of the Pocono mountains just two years prior. I had 3 boys already and soon enough would be having a 4th. The idea of taking time for myself was not a foreign concept, although one that seems to have some duplicity in the notion of it. On the one hand you have people telling you that you need some me time, “Take some time for yourself,” they’d say, “You deserve it.” Then, on the other hand, you have people tsking you and accusing you of being selfish for doing so.
I believe you deserve to be pampered. Read more
