During the hot and humid summer months, one of the best ways to style your hair without actually doing much to it is by using a sea salt texturizing spray. Personally, I’m a big fan of the “I just went to the beach” look. I’ve been trying out Got2b Beach Trippin’ Salt-Infusion Waving Spray (also known as beach spray) for the past couple of weeks because my hair just can’t handle the humidity and I’m obsessed with beaches waves. After my boyfriend somehow lost my beloved blowout lotion and I was forced to use my regular body lotion to blow dry my hair for a few days, thanks to me not being able to locate a salon, beauty store or dry bar in my area that carries the brand I normally use, he went out (all on his own) and bought me the MoroccanOil Hydrating Styling Cream. I guess he felt really bad because every time I blow dried my hair, I would rave about how much I loved the blowout lotion I was using.
To be honest I was not at all excited about trying the MoroccanOil Hydrating Styling Cream, but since it was sweet that he took the time to go out and get it, I thought I would give it a try and I’m pretty ecstatic that I decided to stop pouting and try it. Read more

Don’t you just LOVE when a product actually does what it claims to? Wouldn’t life be grand if EVERYTHING delivered the results advertised?
To be totally honest, I wasn’t sure about the Goody Tanglefix Brush when I first saw it. It seemed too good to be true. I wondered what could possibly make the Goody TangleFix brush any different from other brushes and detangle my unruly knotty mess. One use and I’m SOLD! Read more

On those rare occasions in summer when I choose to blow dry my hair, I need a product that can effectively banish frizz. Since my hair is naturally very curly, in the summer all it wants to do is to be curly, so blow drying it straight is an epic battle between me and my hair. A lot of the products that successfully calm and tame my hair in the cooler months just do not cut it in summer. I purchased blowpro while in Florida because a hair product that performs well in the weather there, is a pretty good indication of what I can expect it to do all summer (no matter where I go.)
The blowpro straight to the point straightening lotion that I purchased worked amazingly well in the Florida heat and humidity. I followed the suggested usage and applied the straightening lotion from root to tip on my freshly washed hair and blow dried in sections as usual. The directions also suggested applying extra product to the tips to help prevent fly-aways, which I did. Read more
Let’s face it once summer arrives, for us naturally curly haired girls, there is absolutely no use in trying to battle with what our hair naturally wants to do…which is to suck up the summer humidity and curl to its utmost content. And why would you even want to spend precious time indoors trying to battle with your hair anyway when you could just wash, apply a bit of product and just go enjoy summer in all of its glory?
I plan on spending most of my time at the pool or on the beach and the last thing I want to worry about while partaking in is frizzy straight hair that wants to go curly or weird, crunchy, “jheri curled” looking hair. So in an effort to embrace my natural texture but still have soft, smooth curls, I decided to give Miss Jessie’s Jelly Soft Curls a try. Read more
Moroccan Oil is all the rage for the benefits of argan oil on both skin and hair. Suave’s Moroccan Infusion line of hair care products aim to deliver incredible shine, softness and conditioning to your hair. I had the opportunity to try the new Moroccan Argan Styling Oil from the Moroccan Infusion line. Typically I’m nervous to put any oil in my hair for fear of weightiness and making my hair too greasy, but Suave’s Moroccan Argan Styling Oil was the perfect hair treatment.
There are three ways you can use this oil in your hair:
1. Prior to showering. Just apply a few pumps of the oil to your hands and then smooth throughout your hair. Leave on for 5 minutes, rinse and shampoo and condition as you normally would. This helps create an incredible shine to your hair. Read more
To be completely up front about things, I hate washing my hair because it’s a nightmare to comb afterwards. It’s much like that of a 6 year old little girl. It tangles like nobody’s business and is a nightmare to comb after washing. It’s so bad that my hairdresser schedules extra time for my appointments because my hair takes an extra 5-10 to comb out. It’s also very long… past my bra strap, but not quite down to my waist.
Now that you have a general idea of what a miserable task combing my hair post-shower is, please let me introduce to you my new best friend. It’s a Detangle and Defrizz Conditioning Leave-In Mist ($12) from Verb and it’s like magic. No seriously, I’m in love. Detanglers meant for little kids that are sold at drugstores don’t do anything for my knotting. This magic potion however it’s truly amazeballs. (That’s the only word that felt appropriate.) A balding head can be very embarrassing and many people will do anything to recover from hair loss. There are a number of reasons that cause hair to thin out and die. The most common cause of balding is caused by Dihydrotestosteron or DHT. To stop and reverse hair loss, DHT must be inhibited because it causes hair follicles to thin and die. Collection of sebum due to building up of sebaceous oil can also cause hair loss. The sebum hardens in hair follicles hindering hair growth. Other causes of hair loss include poor hair nutrition and scalp hygiene.
For people suffering from hair loss it is possible to get a guaranteed solution from hair loss control clinics. Hair loss control clinics employ a therapy that involves: Read more
