Aqua Spa Body Cleanser Review

I strongly believe that one should make time spent in the shower as relaxing and enjoyable as possible...even if it's one of those two minutes showers that seem to be occurring with more frequency as we are all continuously pressed for time. One of the best ways to turn shower time Read more

Pretty Woman Kingfisher Feather Polish Review

I love the look of textured nail polish. However, many textured polishes tend to scrape off easily making the effort of applying them practically useless. The Feather polishes from Pretty Woman are another story entirely. You can achieve a textured look that is still smooth to the touch minimizing Read more

Best body lotions! via @agirlsgottaspa #bodycare #bathandbody #beauty #lotion

The best body lotions are the kind that leave your skin feeling soft and hydrated, not just for hours, but for days at a time. I am incredibly picky when it comes to my beauty products, and when it comes to body lotion, I need something that delivers.

Meow Meow Tweet Reviews

Meow Meow Tweet Reviews

Whenever I see the words all natural, mostly organic, and use of biodegradable and recyclable packaging applied to beauty products, it becomes pretty much impossible for me to resist trying said products.  My latest beauty temptation was products from Meow Meow Tweet, a line of all natural, organic, vegan products created in Brooklyn, NY by couple Tara and Jeff. W3LL PEOPLE Universalist Multi-Use Colorstick Review

W3LL People #review #swatch

W3LL PEOPLE is a majorly buzzed about makeup brand right now and it’s no wonder why. They’ve managed to create a line of makeup that is not only 100% natural, but it’s also fabulous. Other brands tend to lose the fabulosity (is that even a word?) when trying to please the tree hugging goal of au natural, but not W3LL People. Like they say, Hippie Tested. Diva Approved. This diva can’t get enough of W3LL PEOPLE ‘s Universalist Multi-Use Colorstick.

w3ll diva approved

Here’s the low down on the goodness that is W3LL PEOPLE.  W3LL People (well people) is a beauty conscious brand. As they like to say, there are “no nasties” in their products. Their makeup is free of parabens, silicones, sulfates, and artificial ingredients. There’s no harsh chemicals or toxins in their products. Everything they make is 100% natural and eco friendly. So not only are the ingredients premium natural and organic, but they also respect the environment and take pride in sustainability. To top it all off, W3LL PEOPLE is Made in the USA with love.

The minds behind the concept of W3LL PEOPLE (well people) are pretty much the perfect trio of: Makeup Guru, Cosmetic Dermatologist and Treehugger. The brand is the perfect blend of artistry, technology and social responsibility.  So now that we know all of the goodness behind the products, let’s talk about performance . . . because let’s be real, how our makeup performs is important! Banish Summer Shine With Tatcha Japanese Beauty Papers

tatcha-beauty-paper-review
I absolutely dislike the feel of too much product on my face and for that reason will avoid face powder like the plague in the summer.  I just feel like it does not matter how great a powder is, in summer with the heat and humidity, I have to reapply it so often to banish oil and shine that the powder just starts to build upon my face making it feel heavy and clogged.  Last summer I discovered Tatcha Beauty Papers at the amazing eyelash bar and makeup studio Jett Makeup in Edina, Minnesota.  These beauty papers are perfect for removing excess oil on my face without ruining or makeup. Yes to Grapefruit Facial Towelettes Review

Facial towelettes are one of my absolute beauty constants.  I always have them in my purse, by my nightstand and in my gym bag.  They’re just a perfect way to freshen up after an intense workout, on the airplane, after a late night when you don’t really feel like or have the energy to wash your face or really whenever you just feel like your skin could use a bit of freshening up.  The facial towelettes that I’m currently in love with, especially as summer begins to roll around is Yes To Grapefruit Correct & Repair Brightening Facial Towelettes. Summer Ready Legs With Kiss My Face Moisturize Shave

kiss-my-face-moisture-shaveIn the summer, when it comes to keeping my legs fuzz free, I tend to opt for shaving instead of my usual waxing.  This is  mainly because waxing requires that your hair be a certain length before you can rip them out by their roots and summer just does not permit hair growth of any kind on anyplace but one’s head…unless you plan on sticking to maxi everything while you grow them out.

I just feel like my legs hide under enough thick layers during the colder months so the last thing I want to do is hide in the summer.  Since I opt for shaving my legs during summer I tend to look for shaving products that are really moisturizing without being messy and that are also soothing to my skin since my skin tends to get quite irritated after shaving if I use the wrong product. J.R. Watkins Coconut Milk & Honey Body Butter and Body Scrub Review

jrwatkins-body-scrub-and-butterNothing says summer and vacation to me more than the scent of coconut.  And nothing says swimsuit ready more than soft, smooth, hydrated skin.  Now combine the scent of coconut with products  that exfoliate and moisturize my skin leaving it insanely smooth, glowing and hydrated. Who needs 80 degree temps? It’s practically summer in my shower right now…or at least it felt like it about ten minutes ago.  After I used the Coconut Milk & Honey  Body Scrub and Body Butter from J.R Watkins.

The natural scrub is a combination of sugar, shea butter and natural oils and smells absolutely delicious.  It effectively exfoliated my skin without feeling harsh and scratchy.  I loved that the scrub is also moisturizing so I did not feel like I was stripping my skin of moisturize while I exfoliated.  The body butter, like the scrub is also natural and has an amazing scent that is not overpowering.  The scent is light, fresh and clean…perfect for summer.  It felt decadent and luxurious on my skin and left it looking and feeling soft and radiant.  Read more

Farmaesthetics Lip Softener Review

Another outstanding product from Farmaesthetics that I instantly fell in love with–this time it’s their Lip Softener.

As with all of their products, the lip softener is 100% all natural with ingredients such as sweet almond oil, calendula*, Vitamin E, beeswax, peppermint, orange wax, grapefruit peel oil, iron oxide & mica.  It has a really refreshing minty scent and taste that is never overpowering.

All it took for my lips too feel  hydrated and moisturized was just a tiny dab of the softener, just a little really goes a long way and my lips never felt like there was a layer of heavy, greasy lip product sitting on top of them.    The ingredients in this lip softener treat the lip tissue by preventing cracked, dry lips and also aids in preventing fine lines and creases.  The Farmaesthetics Lip Softener is my definition of clean, simple and effective beauty.  Read more
