It’s been a while since I’ve changed up my makeup products, as I typically stick to the same brands over and over. With the exception of mascara of course, for that I’m always hunting down the next best thing. (Who isn’t?)
So when World Organics, a New Zealand based beauty brand, reached out to me to try their organic cosmetics extension The Organic Skin Co, I was game to switch things up. Especially since it has been a while since I’ve used any organic makeup.

I’ve wanted to try RMS Beauty Lip2Cheek for quite some time now, but never found it in any of my usual beauty stores until I paid a holiday visit to my favorite Brow Studio, Blink For Beauty in Minneapolis, MN. Finally RMS Beauty Lip2Cheek was right in front of my eyes so I could actually test the colors on my skin and not just guess which color would look good on my skin tone based on a online swatch.
I decided on the Lip2Cheek in Illusive, a berry shade described more accurately as a matte burnt rose hue with a hint of plum. The color is very soft and pretty on my skin tone. Whenever I want a more natural look, I will use barely any of the product on both my cheeks and lips, but for a night out I can go bolder with the same color by just adding a bit more. Read more
Aveda’s a pretty well known cosmetics, hair care, and skin care company who strives to connect beauty, environment, and well being. They aim to care for the world we live in with the products they make to give back to society. I think Aveda has an all together pretty amazing cosmetic line. As many times as I have had the opportunity to work with their makeup, I have never been disappointed. I also enjoy the fresh scents the cosmetics give off while applying. Read more
