IT Cosmetics Cushion Compact Review

Last spring and summer while in Southeast Asia, I became intrigued by cushion compacts. Cushion compacts, like the BB cream, are the beauty brainchild of Korea...I really would like to go on a beauty passage through Korea. They seemed to be everywhere and I made mental note to myself to grab a couple before Read more

If coffee, cigarettes, red wine and food have left their mark on your teeth, you’re not alone. "The rule of thumb is anything that can stain a white T-shirt can stain your teeth too," says Sharde Harvey, D.D.S and principal in New York-based Smiles Park Avenue, a practice that Read more

Sometimes with my dark skin tone, it can be a bit hard to find the right lip color, especially when it comes to pink. So I was super excited when I received several different shades of pink lip glosses and lipsticks from NARS, Mehron and Uslu Airlines. I'm pretty sure a lot of Read more

Overnight Lip Treatments For Softer, Fuller Lips While You Sleep

Unless you’re a stickler for protecting your pucker during these hot summer months (good for you!), chances are, your lips aren’t having as much fun as you are while you mingle at friends’ pool parties and bask the day away at the beach. Plus, if you have that dreadful bad habit of constantly chewing on dry lips like I do, and just can’t help making things even worse, your smoocher probably hates you right now. Seriously!  Read more

Redness-Relieving Moisturizers For a Gorgeously Even Complexion

If you’re like me and have sensitive skin that’s prone to redness — and not in a sort of subtle, sweet rosy-cheeked sort of way — you know how tough it can be to cover it up without irritating it even further. Whether you’re just washing your face too roughly, using too-harsh products not cut out for sensitive skin, or just in a climate that doesn’t sit well with your finicky complexion, you know redness is unsightly (and sometimes even painful and dry!) and can be extra tough to soothe and calm down.

Piling more and more concealer and powder on top of the problem definitely isn’t the way to go, so start at the base of your skincare with a soothing, redness-relieving moisturizer! Not only will it help eliminate the appearance of redness, but it also relieves dryness and flaky skin to prevent future redness and irritation, and feels soothing against sensitive and enflamed skin. Even if your skin isn’t prone to redness at all times of the year, it’s a great product to have on hand in the dry winter months!
