I’ve found liquid gold…black gold to be exact. I was given a 1 oz sample of boscia’s newest face cleanser, Detoxifying Black Cleanser and I must say I’m glad I chose this cleanser over a lip gloss.
For those who haven’t heard or know anything about boscia, they are a preservative-free, botanically-based skincare line. “(boscia contains none of the 150 industry-recognized preservatives – not just parabens – that can irritate skin and cause blemishes, redness, eczema and more).” With the combination of cutting edge Japanese technology and active botanical ingredients, boscia’s philosophy is to achieve superior results without compromising skin health.
I’ve tried several of their products over the years and have yet to be disappointed. Which is why I was thrilled to try this new cleanser. It’s a black (charcoal), gentle, warming gel cleanser that deep cleans and detoxifies as well as improves the texture and clarity of your face. I prefer a more in depth face cleansing at night so this cleanser seemed perfect. After dampening and massaging the cleanser onto my face and neck, I did feel a warming sensation but that didn’t last too long. At first it may feel like you didn’t use enough but remember boscia’s products are botanical based and preservative free, so all that stuff that makes a lather like other cleansers won’t be in the ingredients. After rinsing and patting dry, I did the toner test. After swiping a toner soaked cotton ball over my face and neck, there was no residue; even better, unlike some deep cleansers, my face didn’t feel dry or tight. Right away I was able to see a difference; face was smooth, soft and even looked clean. It got rid of any makeup I had on, even waterproof mascara, dirt and sunscreen (which is sometimes a pain to remove).
The next night I tried the cleanser, I used my Clarisonic brush and those two together are amazing! A little goes a long way, and I’ve had this for about two weeks now so this 1 oz bottle should last me for another week. After using it at night, my face looks better in the morning and in combination with a lovely serum I’ve been using less makeup. And yes, I will absolutely be getting it to use as my night cleanser after my trial size runs out. Hope boscia keeps this liquid gold around for a very long time! Have you tried it?
