During summer I like to scale way back on my makeup usage, as I do with almost everything else that’s beauty and fashion related. It just becomes to difficult of a battle to try to prevent most makeup from melting, smearing and disappearing. I still, of course, want to look put together for all those summer festivals, barbecues, graduations and weddings, but try to do so with the least amount of products possible.
For the past two weeks I have been in a very hot and humid Minneapolis for a wedding and to spend time with friends and family over the July 4th weekend and trust me when I say that trying to look presentable makeup wise in downright muggy situations was nearly impossible. Had it not been for my STARLOOKS May Starbox, I might not have been able to post 90% of my pictures on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or anyplace else. My STARLOOKS May Starbox contained “Emphasize” Cream Blusher, “BS443” Brow Shader, and “Cinnamon Toss” Eye Pigment, which is perfect for me since I tend to stick to a groomed brow and blush with lip balm or lip gloss during the day and will add some eyeshadow for a night out.
The BS443 Brow Shader contained everything I needed to create the perfectly groomed brow, an angled application, a highlighter and brow powder in three different colors so that I could customize the color of my brows (perfect for when I get highlights) and a built in mirror. The brow powders did not budge after six hours of dancing at a wedding nor did it melt away after a day of barbecuing in 90 degree temps. I love that the Brow Shader can also be used as eyeshadow to create a really natural or dramatic eye.
The Cream Blusher in Emphasize is a pretty berry colored blush that is very user friendly and insanely long wearing. A little dab went a long way and like the Brow Shader it does not budge. In addition to using it as a blush I will also dab a bit on my lips for a matte berry stained effect…or use gloss over it.
The Cinnamon Toss Eye Pigment has been my favorite of all three products because I have been having way too much fun experimenting with it. Thus far I’ve used it as an eye shadow by mixing it with water for a really intense effect, just as as and also with lotion for a really pretty sheen on my lids. I’ve also used it on my cheekbones after mixing it with my facial moisturizer, on my lips after combining it with a few different glosses and also on my arms and legs after mixing it with body oil.
Performance wise all three of these products are amazing, they also look incredible on just about any skin tone…I know this because I raved about them so much that I had to let other’s try them, plus I feel like I got a lot more than three products because they are all multipurpose! I definitely cannot wait to try other products from this line. Have you subscribed to get STARLOOKS Starboxes?
