I love a good dry shampoo. I love shiny hair. I also love volume. However, on any given day, those three things sometimes do not happen all at once. At least, not with a little help.
Everyone who knows me, knows that I do not wash my hair everyday. Dry shampoo has been a staple in my beauty routine since some expert hairstylists I met a few years back told me that shampooing every day was a definite no-no to achieve healthy hair and a healthy scalp. Some dry shampoos haven’t worked well for me, while others have achieved must-have status among my hair care products. Herbal Essences new Naked Dry Shampoo is on the must-have list.
Herbal Essences Naked Dry Shampoo works to absorb excess oil with natural tapioca. It’s not weighty on your hair and gives your hair lift and texture while remaining touchably soft. While the description of the fragrance for this product is “minty”, that’s probably the only thing I would disagree about. It smells more like a peachy / pink grapefruit type of fragrance. Which, honestly, is much more reminiscent of a “just washed my hair” scent than mint would be anyway. I really like this product and was mesmerizing by the volume it gave me.
I tend to wash my hair in the evening versus first thing in the morning. And while that may lead you to believe that I opt out of hair treatments and styling aids since I’m only just going to bed and have no reason to go full-on with my hair, that would be untrue. I still use de-frizz products and volume enhancers so that the next day my hair looks fabulous. Herbal Essences Naked Volume Volumizing Souffle is a leave-in conditioning cream-like mousse, free of silicone and colorants, that gives hair a boost (without feeling “crunchy.”) Simply put: it gave me the volume I was looking for and was still evident the next day.
Lastly, I’ve been using Herbal Essences Naked Shine Sheer Shine Mist. This shine spray can be used on wet or dry hair to add instant shine to any style. For the above picture, I used it once my hair was dry and styled. The shine was immediately apparent, and it’s lightweight, so it won’t weigh your hair down.
Herbal Essences Naked hair care comes in three categories, that you can of course mix and match. There’s Naked Volume, Naked Moisture and Naked Shine and range from shampoo and conditioner to dry shampoo and styling aids. Which ones have you tried?
