Know how it feels when you try a product for the first time and fall so madly in love with it, that your immediate first thought is, “I hope they never discontinue this or change anything about it EVER”?
This was the exact experience I had upon trying the Soothing Silk Body Butter and Soothing Silk Hand Cream from TATCHA’s Indigo Collection. The founder of TATCHA, Victoria Tsai, discovered the deeply soothing and calming powers of Indigo from a 200 year old book containing the beauty rituals of the geisha. According to this book, samurais were known for wearing a layer of Indigo-dyed cotton beneath their armor to help heal injuries. Both the Soothing Silk Body Butter and Soothing Silk Hand Cream combines the anti-inflammatory properties of natural Japanese Indigo extract with liquid silk.
Both the Soothing Silk Body Butter and Soothing Silk Hand Cream are positively divine. They both have a very soothing aroma and a lovely blue hue which became invisible once I applied the products to my skin. The Soothing Silk Body Butter is deeply moisturizing while still feeling lightweight and not at all greasy, oily or heavy. It also absorbs quickly and leaves my skin is left feeling silky smooth and soft.
The Soothing Silk Hand Cream is also deeply moisturizing without being waxy or oily and absorbs quickly. I love that I can apply it and not have to wait to touch anything for fear of leaving a greasy mess everywhere. Both of these products have bee amazing to my skin and would be ideal for sensitive, inflamed or irritated skin thanks to its soothing and anti-inflammatory properties.
The packaging of both products is absolutely exquisite, then again it definitely seems like a lot of care and creativity goes into the packaging of all of TATCHA‘s products. I also deeply appreciate that there is a story behind this brand and all of it’s products, I feel like whenever I use a product from TATCHA, I become a part of a beautiful story.
