Don’t you just LOVE when you try something new and then that’s the very thing you get complimented on all day long? That’s always the #1 way I know I’m onto something good.
The very first day I took Butter LONDON’s new Wink Eye Pencil in Twigged ($18) for a spin, two ladies in the office asked, “Are you doing something new with your eye makeup?” My usual look is a little black eyeliner on my lid with some eye shadow and mascara, but on this day, I used some blended and smudged Twigged on my lower lash line and a little bit smeared inward from the corner of my upper lash line. I never wear liner on the bottom, but in this color liner, it was working for me and the compliments just kept coming. It’s a mix between the perfect pigment of Twigged and the blendable, smooth formula that created a nice shimmery and creamy line. This just isn’t your typical eye pencil.
The formula is smooth and once it sets, it stays. You can smear it a little when you first apply, but then it’s there for the day. This is my new go-to look when I have very little time to get ready, but want to look like I had all the time in the world.
The only thing I don’t love about this eye pencil is that it needs to be sharpened. It’s hard to keep the tip at a point, but the formula is so magical and luscious that you can see past it. The only thing that could make this pencil better would be if Butter LONDON made this a twist up.
Have you tried Butter London’s Wine Eye Pencil? I’m totally getting this same pencil in Earl Grey next!
