This never ending winter has kept my wood burning stove going constantly. Thus, any moisture in the air is completely zapped. My feet are the driest they have ever been (despite a few pedicures this winter), and my skin just can’t seem to absorb enough lotion to be completely quenched. Have you noticed the same?
Sometimes it is partially my fault too. There are times when I’m in a rush and I forget (or don’t have time) to put on lotion, which of course only makes my skin even more dehydrated. When I was sent Dial’s new Skin Therapy 7-Day Moisturizing Lotion with Himalayan Pink Salt, I swooned at the thought of a lotion working for me even on the days when I forget to apply it.
What is Himalayan Pink Salt? If you are wondering, so was I, as I had never really heard of it before. Himalayan Pink Salt has a rich mineral content that includes over 84 minerals and trace elements such as: calcium, magnesium, potassium, copper and iron. This salt is recognized for its beautiful pink color, high mineral content, and its therapeutic properties. (source) While the lotion is not pink, I can understand why Dial is drawing our attention to this beauty ingredient, which is sourced from Pakistan.
Did it live up to its claims?
First, this lotion comes in a HUGE bottle, so it’s going to last you a good, long while. It’s texture is thin, non-greasy and fast absorbing. The scent is a very light floral. I noticed right away how soft and smooth my skin was, but the major difference came in the days after when I made sure not to use a moisturizer. My skin was still soft and smooth days later. I was stoked! Now of course, I do not advocate to skip your moisturizer on a daily basis, however, should you forget or run out of time, using Dial Skin Therapy 7-Day Moisturizing Lotion is a bonus!
