Is primer part of your daily makeup routine? If it’s not, you’re probably reapplying makeup mid-day or not looking as perfected at the end of the day as you did in the beginning. Am I right or am I right?
I used to think primer was a bunch of bologna and a totally unnecessary step of the makeup routine. I didn’t buy into it … until I realized that they are not all made the same and if you’re using the right primer, (a good primer) it will smooth your face into a beautiful canvas, extend the life of your look, and perfect the wear of your makeup. Some do more so (or better) than others. Spoiler Alert: This one is awesome.
I’m a QVC junkie and spend hours at a time watching my favorite hosts chat about beauty products with the beauty brands’ creators. Actually, it’s my dream job … and I won’t lie, sometimes I talk to myself and do fake pitches of these products as if I were the one on TV. Does that make me weird?
Anyway, Mally Roncal is on QVC all the time and you can tell instantly, girlfriend is passionate about her products. Her segments always suck me in. As a celebrity makeup artist, if anyone knows to achieve a flawless look that’s going to last, it’s her. She’s been responsible for making A-listers look their best for years. I actually read somewhere that she actually came up with this miracle primer because she couldn’t find any that she liked using. How awesome is that?
Have you ever looked at a celeb and wondered how they achieved that perfect, almost porcelain look? I’m guessing that perfect makeup look started with some awesome primer and thankfully Mally has used her experience and talents to bring us … Mally Perfect Poreless Primer. After months of watching Mally on QVC, I can’t even tell you how excited I was to have her Perfect Prep Poreless Primer in my hands! The jar itself feels fancy and the contents are like the holy grail for makeup lovers. Let’s get down to the nitty primer gritty.
Mally’s Perfect Prep Poreless Primer promises to minimize fine lines, wrinkles, and pores. I can tell you one thing for sure, the other primers in my makeup bag don’t do that! Mally’s Perfect Prep Poreless Primer comes in a couple different sizes, but the 2.8 ounce jar is pictured. The packaging looks and feels fancy. The top twists off easily and you don’t need much product, (it goes a long way) so I like being able to see what I’m taking on my finger. This primer is really lightweight and leaves a fresh canvas for you to create your beauty look. I really did notice that it minimized fine lines, wrinkles, and pores under my makeup. It’s rich, but not thick or greasy. This is the first primer I’ve ever tried that actually left my skin feeling hydrated longer than just the moment I applied it. It’s as if it locks in the moisture. ‘’m in my late 20’s and I’m already paranoid about the super fine lines and how my makeup will crease in them. This primer has become a totally necessary first step of my makeup routine to minimize any of that.
The price tag is a tad high on this ($38), but I do have to say it goes a long way, lasts a long time (you don’t need to use much) and your makeup will look flawless and last longer. The way I see it – if you’re not reapplying your makeup a bunch of times throughout the day, you’re saving on that product. So it all equals out! It’s totally worth it.
If you’ve been on the hunt for a silky smooth primer that makes your makeup look flawless and last all day … you’ve found it!
