Serums are an important part of a skin care routine. If you have yet to include one, there’s no better time than now!
Why is a serum so important, you ask? I know, just ONE more product to your already expansive list of products that you have to apply day and night to fight aging. I feel like people see serums the way they see toner, as a dispensable item for anti-aging. Yet, it is actually a very crucial skin care product that should not be overlooked (or undervalued for that matter!)
Serums help your moisturizer to be more effective and should be applied prior. While serums themselves are often packed with free radical fighting ingredients, serums also help your moisturizer to deliver their nutrients and hydration deep down into your skin.
I’ve been testing out M. Steves Ultra Nourishing Boost ($64/30ml) for a few months now. This serum is 100% vegan and 96.7% natural. It’s formulated with cold-pressed rose hip seed oil to intensely hydrate skin and packs a punch with antioxidants and essential fatty acids. Only 2 small pumps of this serum are enough to cover your entire face (therefore this product lasts a long time and worth the money!) While it is lightweight, it does take some time to absorb into your skin and will feel a bit greasy. Once it’s absorbed, I didn’t notice any further slickness to my face.
Have you tried this serum? Is serum part of your daily skin care routine?
