Modern Family has to be one of the best written TV series currently on air. The characters are hilarious and the situations they get in are equally as entertaining. I love that each episode has a lesson or some small heart-tugging moment among all the laughs. Nicole by OPI launched 14 new nail lacquers inspired by the award-winning comedy.
The nail line features shades ranging from more nude colors that would appeal to Julie Bowen’s no-nonsense Claire, to a sparkly violet shade meant to represent Gloria’s (Sofia Vergara) more flamboyant look.
“Modern Family is not only one of the funniest shows on television, it features a great ensemble cast of rich characters that inspired a range of shades, from pastel hues like sea foam green and periwinkle to brighter colors of cobalt and red-violet,” says Suzy Weiss-Fischmann, Nicole by OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “From studious Alex to bombshell Gloria, to classic (and neurotic) Claire, to flirty Haley, there are shades to represent each of these uniquely fabulous women – and everyone else in the blended family.”
The shade names are so cute and clever!
- Am I Making Myself Claire?
- I Do De-Claire!
- A Phil’s Paradise
- Alex by the Books
- Haley Good Lookin’
- A Like-Haley Story
- Luke of the Draw
- My Jay or the Highway!
- Stand by Your Manny
- Back in my Gloria Days…
- Basking in Gloria
- What’s the Mitch-uation?
- She’s Lily Something
- Candid Cameron
The display I purchased from was missing several shades but the out of the remaining selection, What’s the Mitch-uation? was a deep jeweled tone purple and Candid Cameron was a pretty green teal. Two of my favorites were Luke of the Draw, a black with lots of silver glitter and A Phil’s Paradise, a silver glitter. I chose however, Basking in Gloria, a lovely cross between red and pink–more of a fushcia really. It has slight shimmer, but no glitter. This shade will suit all skin tones.
I think I would like to go back and try some of the softer shades like Alex By The Books, Am I Making Myself Claire? and I Do De Claire! The names are great and the shades provide a very nice range.
The Modern Family lacquers are available now for $7.99 each at select retailers including Target, Walmart, CVS and Rite Aid.
