I am always drawn to beauty products inspired by the sea. More often than not I find these types of products to be refreshing, soothing and relaxing, in addition to being very nourishing to my skin. Rarely have marine-inspired beauty products ever failed me and the two products I recently tried from Obiqo Skincare were no exception.
Prior to trying their Refreshing Body Wash and Silky Body Butter, I had never heard of Obiqo Skincare and I am absolutely ecstatic to now be in the know. Their skincare combines nutrient rich sea kelp from New Zealand’s waters with antioxidant properties of French organic sea lavender. All of the marine extracts used in their products are derived from sustainable sources and the methods of harvesting them are natural, gentle and solvent-free.
The first thing that I noticed and appreciated right away about the Obiqo Refreshing Body Wash and Silky Body Butter were their simple, but soothing packaging. This might not matter to most, but if I am going to be looking at products in my bathroom on a daily basis, it helps if I like the packaging and is a plus if the packaging actually enhances my relaxing shower/bath time.
I also absolutely loved the fragrance of both products immediately. The body wash has a clean, refreshing scent and while the body butter also has a clean scent, it is more subtle than that of the body wash, which is perfect because it does not clash with my perfume. The Refreshing Body Wash feels great on my skin. It’s silky with a luxurious lather and, I kid you not, my skin actually feels softer after I’ve used it.
The Silky Body Butter is positively decadent. It is deeply hydrating yet fast absorbing. It always leaves my skin gloriously soft, smooth, hydrated and gorgeously glowing. I know I am going to be really grateful for this body butter once I visit my family in Minnesota in the coming colder months. Using both the Obiqo Refreshing Body Wash and Silky Body Butter on a daily basis makes me feel like I am indulging in mini spa treatments (even if the experience is under five minutes or less), without leaving home and without the triple digit price tag!
